Short answer yes.

Long answer is also yes but as far as rhythm games go it's not very interesting. I really liked it at first, now the only reason I play it is because they constantly keep it alive with new updates and event. The amount of Vocaloid music in it and that they constantly keep adding is on point though.

They even had an Akane event and recently added some Yukari songs. Worth a play if you can get to one.

I've played iOS/Android and Steam too. I actually forgot about them though until you mentioned it. The iOS one is kinda boring because the arcade is so much more fun with the controllers it has, but it scratches the itch and it's fine for a phone rhythm game.

The issue is the default song pack is small and boring and every additional pack costs $ and it adds up FAST if you want a bunch of Vocaloid packs of which they don't have a massive amount on the app.

On Steam it's the same thing. Barely any music and you have to buy DLC packs and at this stage in Steam's version life there is barely any of those packs at all and I don't even think there is a Vocaloid one yet, or maybe one if any. Different anon here, but in my experience the arcade version is really the only one worth playing. It's not as flashy as some other rhythm games, but the song selection is top notch with a ton of vocaloid songs, and they add new ones in pretty often. I think it's incredibly fun, and the periodic events keep it fresh. But even without the events it's still a game that I'll always play if I'm at an arcade that has it (but unfortunately not many arcades in Japan have it, at least compared to games like beatmania or chunithm.) The Gumi event was last year, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do it again, they've done IA/ONE events multiple times with the same rewards.

No problem. If you're in the US, Round 1 has it. But it's worth noting that a lot of Japanese arcade rhythm games have a good amount of vocaloid songs. The PV is great. I'd watch more from the same animators. The first time I watched it couldn't get into the song. Although the melody was nice, too many lines in the lyrics ended on an "ng" sound, to the point where it started to kind of freak me out. I think I understand what anons mean when they say that Chinese sounds "harsh." Stardust's powerful, high-pitched voice kind of accentuates this harshness. However, I liked it a lot more on a rewatch. I like the space theme in Stardust's PVs.

This was the song I enjoyed the most. ChiYu somewhat deeper voice is nice. It reminded me of a girlier vflower. The song would be better without instrumental in the middle, though. ChiYu doesn't have much Pixiv fan art yet and it's hard to look up because the tag has other uses.

If you liked one Chiyu song, you could try her other demo. Zeno's occasional habit of strong instrumentals drowning out the vocals isn't nearly so much an issue with Chiyu's rich, strong voice. I'm excited for the new PJD just because it means PJD isn't dead. Objectively, the new game is kinda shit. Only 100 something songs, only a handful of new songs. All they did was port FT but instead of using the FT models they used the same filter/shader they use on Two Sided Lovers but put it on every PV for Nintendo.

Personally, I've wanted to use that shader for every PV too so I'm glad that's happening but it's nothing special and probably took minimal effort and their jew scheme reaches new peaks when they charge everyone again for new song packs to add the missing 100+ songs to Nintendo.

Last I heard you'd have to play through the entire game, for any game, with stutter all throughout, before having anything actually smooth. And any small graphical effect missed could still lock it up for a second even on a subsequent playthrough, since 100% detection is unlikely.
And they weren't transferable so you couldn't just use someone else's cache to have only that one person suffer through the stuttering for the sake of everyone else.
That's really a dealbreaker for me.
Not to mention the high performance requirements for emulating PS3 to begin with.

That's what I was asking.
Last I checked it was only pre-compiled shaders, which are extremely hardware and driver specific. So only the exact same setup could ever use shaders compiled. Like not just the same GPU, but the same specific model and drivers. That's the problem.

Cemu has transferable shader lists that just need compiled on new hardware/drivers.
Dolphin has asynchronous compilation, and even ubershaders to prevent pop-in before that.
But RPCS3 had the worst case for shader stutter I'd seen thus far.
