That's a really hard question, but I think Aunn and Doremy would have the best feels.

I never knew how much I wanted to hug a 2hu before this thread.

Ran is considered to be in a taller tier of 2hus according to ZUN, there by making her hug more enveloping. Her appearances in the official manga and background sprites in recent fighting games show her to have a large bosom as well. This would of course be double-padded in clothed layers of her white dress and blue tabard, with large, flowing wizard-like sleeves wrapped around you. Then, her tails: the size of Ran's tails have varied from multiple appearances, but they all seem long enough to be physically involved in the hugging. And beyond the physical, imagine how much soap/shampoo her tails are capable of soaking in. Her womanly aroma would be incredibly dense and inescapable at this range. I think Ran is the clear winner.

Medium builds like Reimu are for both hug and hugging.

Yuugi builds are for maximum squish.

Depends on if you want to be the giver or the receiver of the hug.
If receiver then it's gotta be Ran. Or if you want a hug that you can still feel days after it's over, Yuugi.

what about multiple hugs? yuuka can give two at once, flan can give four, and doremy can ostensibly give as many as she wants. and yomu's phantom half should be able to hug as well, at least to an extent.

and that raises another question: to what extent can a half-phantom, evil spirit, or vengeful spirit change its shape? if they can completely change, then you could be entirely enveloped in a hug from yomu, mima, or tojiko. [per pmiss and sopm, the bodies of ghosts, poltergeists, and restless spirits (minamitsu) are more or less fixed.]

also, as another anon mentioned temperature, yomu would be cool while mima and tojiko might be warm/hot. so, potentially, you could have fully encompassing hug that's tailor-made for either summer or winter (although it would be less comfortable on the other end, so it'd be nice to reciprocate during the other season, which would be less effective but still pleasant).

God, imagine being hugged by Yuugi, Suika and oni Kasen at the same time.
