I have been very depressed with typemoon lately, like, since the last interview from Nasu where he said that instead of writing tsukire or whatever he was spending all his time with souls games and undertale...

I was never the one to like fate, I always liked the other works, even notes. fate was nice but never gave the same feeling. But I was trustfull because there was intent on expanding the universe and all that which is the part I like.

But then things starts getting weird because he wants to continue using a bad media (mobage) and continue to expand with weird fate games that doesn seem to explore much aside from new grail mechanics and dramas. I am already fed up with throne of heroes stories, it is like youre trying to dry up a already dried cow.

And why there are so many people who like all this? apocrypha, strange fake, requiem, a fucking musou game

I messed around with onscripter-en (vanilla onscripter doesn't have this functionality) and figured out a fix for it so now it scales to fullscreen with the --scale option. You'd have to patch onscripter and compile some code for it though. If you happen to use linux, you can just compile the fork/branch I'm working on. If not, I don't mind generating a simple patch for you.

Oh I lied. onscripter-en does have a --widescreen option. It's just hidden behind some mysterious ifdefs that didn't enable during compilation for whatever reason. Well anyways, I just removed those ifdefs to force enable it and recompile it to do some testing.

1. --scale and --widescreen don't work at the same time. Scale is prefered over widescreen. This means the game is only stretched in window mode to some weird 16:9 resolution (probably something like 864x486 but I didn't check). That kind of defeats the whole purpose. Using just --scale to match the reaolution to your native display and keep the 4:3 aspect ratio is a better experience.
2. Like I thought, widescreen stretches the backgrounds which I think is incredibly ugly. The sprites and in game text are the same though. Here's some comparisons (from tsukihime but kagetsu tohya has the same behavior).

FGO is not to thank for that at all. TM has had beautiful anime with top tier production values since 2007 with Kara no Kyoukai, followed by Fate/Zero and now the F/SN adaptations.
Mahoyo is the best looking thing they've ever released, and it was before FGO.
I appreciate all of the above a lot more than 30 second clips packed with action, with the intent of making a shitty phone game look a lot cooler than it actually is.
Not to say those aren't cool, but FGO deserves to get shit at any opportunity, those PVs are not excuse.

But the bigger issue with new Fate in general (both GO and Extella) is the focus on Servants, not even the setting or the mechanics.

Prana (Mana) can be used to counter hypnosis, or other spells. Magics that affect another mage are usually easily countered by the internal magic system of the mage in question. Magus and magic circuit, in parlance, but whatever.

Brainwashing Rin would be extremely difficult, unless you cheat, or are so much powerful than her that you don't care. But keep in mind that magic in the Nasuverse is 90% cheating, so someone, somewhere, probably created a bizarre conceptual magic that can brainwash easily.

Yes, but not easily. Rin can create things very easily, repair things easily too, and levitating things would not be beyond her capacity, but it's not easy for her. She would need a mystery (a spell) and some conceptual reasons as about how she could levitate things. She never needed it, so she never had a spell for it.

Not that it is very difficult. Shirou, though an exception in magecraft, can levitate weapons easily enough.

Most of the weaker mystic eyes are mental attacks, more or less. An Illya scene in HA comes to mind.

Just finished the 'A story for the evening' in KT and it was a realy good surprise I was always a huge fan of Akiha and seeing her in a more peaceful environement was heartwarming in a way. being in her head was also interesting, seeing how she perceived herself while feeling depressed and aknowledging her flaws was great.

1. Pepe's name & his backstory get revealed and personally he is my most favorite Crypter so far. I like his talk with Mashu a lot: He says he is very proud of Mashu since she's not a puppet-like girl anymore (and wonders what Beryl would think about her right now) but also feels guilty about himself. Everytime the Crypters meet each other, it's just full of report & report and that cold atmosphere almost kills his feeling. Pepe says right now he will try his best to do what he chooses by himself and Mashu believes Pepe will definitely make a good decision. In the end, Pepe thanks Mashu and tells her to go to sleep soon since woman should take care of themselves + he doesn't want those dark circles to appear under her eyes. He hates the new life-but-not-really by the God but in the same time he also says he will not abandon/betray other Crypters and reminds Chaldea that maybe he would be their enemy someday (Guda and Mashu go silent right after that).
+ Pepe doesn't want to fight with Chaldea/Guda at all, especially after what they did with Kadoc and Ophelia. When Holmes asks him about Hinako, he says that's another story cuz she is not a human. Pepe already knows Hinako is a True Ancestor when he first came to Chaldea.
2. the Crypters/Apostles/God, each of them has their own different goals. The God doesn't care about Human History and only focuses on the Fantasy Tree which makes Pepe wonders if Kirsch is also aware of this + how much he knows about the God
+ Koyanskaya's goal: becoming the new Nine-Tailed Fox and creating a new legend for herself but she can't bring other tails to this Lostbelt due to the Original so she becomes weaker in this LB
+ Douman likes collecting monsters. The Douman we meet in this LB is just another shikigami and nobody knows where he actually is
+ Mashu asks Vitch about Rasputin's goal but she says she can't tell her that.
3. Pepe tells Mashu that "Crypter" is the special name for A-Team by Marisbilly, not the God like what she thought (this was actually explained by Olga in Lostroom before)
4. the Apostle's job is to check the Tree's growth in every Lostbelt
5. Daybit is a surprisingly nice person. With the help from Koyan (because of her IM skill), he comes to LB4 with his servant and rescues Pepe who is a friend for him. He also calls Pepe by his true name too (his smiling face is cute). From what nips say on twitter, it seems like Daybit is that kind of person who will try his best to help other people/his friend(?) despite being misunderstood/he doesn't need them to understand him.
6. According to Da Vinci, Daybit's servant is a Grand/on par with a Grand(?). That servant talks a bit about the death & life.
7. Captain is a fusion of Captain Nemo and Triton. He's actually the mysterious presence that helped Chaldea with the Shadow Border in LB2 and is going to modify SB with using Nautilus’s concept, essentially making Shadow Border into an invincible ship in any kind of voyage.
8. Sion mentions アロニクス ファンタズム (kanji:証憑機構) but i don't know much info about this
9. Holmes noticed the pattern of naming of the trees. He can't figure out why there is a copy/imitation of a galaxy inside the tree. From his deduction, if this is indeed an alien weapon for invasion, then with the amount of magic energy like Goetia, you can just toast the planet's surface like he did. So why is there the galaxy, maybe the trees are actually not a type of weapon for invasion.
10. Person of Chaldea's monologues (he only got mentioned by other people before LB4). Implied to be Goetia or a mix between Roman&Goetia but 90% Goetia is related to this person.
11. the Priestess is referred to as U-chan by Pepe. Dunno if that's a nickname or an initial from her actual name ("U" is written in English alphabet)

Still hasn't finished his investigation on the Fantasy Tree and his battle with Rasputin-Kirei has been set up since LB2. All the Trees in LB1->4 haven't fully grown (but Mayall is the biggest tree so far) while Atlas's root has already covered 80% of the Earth's surface by the time of LB2. But at least now Holmes figures the pattern of naming.

It's not like i care about Guda since he's just a self-insert character who barely has any development but for Mashu, she already talked about it with everyone after they destroyed LB3. Prologue Mashu is weak to the point she can't even accept the fact that she will never be able to come back to the old Chaldea anymore and beg them to turn her back to that place. LB1 is when she finally accepts the reality and the first time she knows what a "Lostbelt" is. The happiness she felt when she came to every Singularity is something she will never feel in a LB. Mashu is afraid of the people & their way of life but that is one of many reasons why she realizes she has to be in the frontlines no matter how painful it will be(and to be fair she kinda gets upset by what Kadoc says). In the Time Temple, there're pride, a bit loneliness and sad in her heart but now there is no pride, only fear.
