Story-wise I'd say Kokkoro gets like 1/4th credit for saving Kyaru, Peco gets the other 3/4, kishi-kun's influence is very close to zero in bringing her back except as an unconscious prop (a prop carried over by another man at that, as if to rub it in). Peco is the one Kyaru calls out for first when they wake back up. /u/ would have a hard time writing kishi-kun out harder.

As soon as it started matching me with real players instead of bots.(you can recognize them by weird character levels like 31 or 41) I stopped caring about it. I only do 2 pvp matches for the daily quest. The meta is strong in the game and if you don't run a specific setup you'll most likely lose. More than half of the players I encountered use snatch Ban and taunt Gilthunder. So I guess if you want to have a chance you need to fight broken with broken.
I'm not really into pvp anyway so it's not a big deal to me. PvP is mobages is shit anyway.

Core team is a bunch of SEA monkeys who don't speak English. Base game was, initially, 70% google translated. They then basically 'outsourced' their translation work to random fucks on their Discord who work for free because they need internet attention. Said random fucks have been responsible for some rather stupid/questionable localisation decisions (calling Bismarck a man was the most recent example that I know of). Meanwhile the SEA monkey team just sits back and slaps memes everywhere, lots of XDs, you get the idea. Get your most powerful and useful characters to rank 7. Ex skill gives a huge layer of stats, basically doubling the potential of the character. Especially if it's physical damage for a physcal attacker or defense/hp for a tank.

That said I still feel like Priconne is still heavily unbalanced. Just how many characters can you actually use in this game? About half of the cast, or even less? How many of them only become useful after getting their personal equipment? The game relies on you using the most powerful and meta characters too much. And it's not just pvp or challenge content, it's every kind of content relevant to your current level.

They're not supposed to be literal phone screensavers but yeah there needs to be the option to auto tedious grinds and to be able to collect/raise characters. The best balance is when the gameplay is simple but at the same time fun and engaging.

Priconne gets that balance right for me because it's pretty much an auto battler but it has pretty good depth to the gameplay and team comps on harder content so it's satisfying and fun.

Your choices are all pretty mediocre at that level so you might just want to spend your excess AP on which hard stage has equips you need.

It's more an endgame thing to get ahead on now than anything else. She's weak and without her unique equipment she's mediocre at best to boot. Once you get her like R13+ combined with 4* or 5* and her unique equipment however then she turns into a powerhouse who hits harder than any other character in the game currently. I'm level 80 and I have about 8 or 9 characters at rank 8 top. Everytime I get stuck in the story, ranking up seems like it could take forever. I remember spending 200+ stamina during 2x drops and not getting all the 20 shards needed for a single equipment piece. And when I'm out of skip tickets I don't feel like farming at all.

It's hard to give a time span as I'm a day 1 player but, as I'm sure you know, it all comes in time. We all experienced gold equipment hell but now it's purple equipment that is cancer. All I can suggest is focus on one good team to unlock the later worlds. Later worlds drop both gold and purple equipment so it'd be better to push ahead so you can gain both. You'll be weak in terms of PArena and CB but it enables you to progress your gear faster in the end. Events are usually quite nice for giving you extra stuff as you'll get a decent amount of gold stuff while emptying boxes too.
