-The Spring 2019 Event: Commence Allied Relief! "The 2nd Hawaii Operation" is underway and is scheduled to end on June 25 at 11:00 JST. It is a medium-scale event with 3 Main Operation maps and 2 Extra Operation maps.
-Shimushu-class DEs Hachijou (E-2 reward) and Ishigaki(E-2 drop) are available from the main operation. Pasta light cruiser Giuseppe Garibaldi is the E-3 reward. The Eldest of Eldest Sisters, The Fighting Fletcher, is available as a drop in E-4. The Big Seven's Colorado has been implemented as the reward for clearing the abyss "Beyond the Surging Sea".
-The final set of Friend Fleets have been implemented, they are now available in every map except E-1. There is now an option to opt out of Friend Fleets altogether as well as a further option of requesting a stronger Friend Fleet. If opting in on a stronger Friend Fleet to show up, it will consume 6 flamethrowers if the stronger Friend Fleet shows up. If a normal one shows up, then no flamethrowers will be consumed. If the stronger Friend Fleet fails to show up, a normal Friend Fleet will still show up so long as you're opted in for Friend Fleet support.
-7 new Reppuu planes have been implemented, two of which are land-base planes and two that are for the 1st CarDiv. Of the 7, Reppuu Kai is the E-1 reward. Reppuu Kai (352 AG/Skilled) is the E-2 hard reward. Reppuu Kai-II and Reppuu Kai (Proto carrier model) are the E-3 hard reward. The Reppuu Kai-IIE is available as a reward from E-4 hard and E-5 easy. The Reppuu Kai-IIE (CarDiv1/Skilled) is the E-5 hard reward. The 1st CarDiv also gains a small bonus from Ryuusei and Ryuusei Kai.
-Umikaze will receive a Kai-II after the Spring 2019 event.
-Akagi Kai-II and Kai-IIE have been implemented. It requires level 90 for Kai-II along with 1AR, 2BP, 1 catapult, and 2 airplane parts. Kai-IIE requires level 92.
-The April ranking rewards have been distributed. The new equipment are the Ryuusei Kai (CarDiv1) and Ryuusei Kai (CarDiv1/Skilled).
-Gotland will receive a second remodel at some point to re-turn her to a seaplane cruiser. Yahagi will receive a Kai-II at some point in the future. The rest of the Kongou-class will receive further remodels eventually. Shigure will also receive a further remodel in the future.
-The 2019 calendar hints at several new destroyers.
-More Fletchers will be implemented in the future, some illustrated by ZECO. Matsu-class from the Type D Destroyers are being prepared for the 7th year of KanColle.

Thanks for the advice. Did it on first try.
Replaced Sushi with Iowa, replaced Osprey with Yura's plane for extra FP. Put 51cm on Mutsu and this made her the opener with the Touch, obliterating two meatshields straight up. Maya did her duty of completely deplaning the enemy, leaving them free to shoot without retaliation. The Green T helped of course.
Nelsol I could not use, for she is stuck on E-3. Shame on me.

Of these two fleets, I started with the one on the right (Asashimo had equips, obviously), and safely got to the boss the first 3/3 tries, after that, I swapped for Hatsuzuki (no Suzutsuki available) and changed Yamato to the second spot because the Ru node turned me back twice. My LBAS is 4 bombers I send to the RU node (lately I send 1 attack to the H node too) and 1 fighter 3 bombers to the boss node. I've honestly not found any constant reason for returning to base, just random taiha on random nodes to random ships, I think of the 15 or so tries total by now, everyone has gotten taiha at least 3 times, except Yamato, and at random nodes, be it the 3 air nodes, H node, which is supposed to be easy, and Ru node as well just randomly.

Tbh Tanaka should had included a turret weight stat and used it to determine what guns various boats can use.

Well I meant something more along the lines of the fact that you're taking a ship, that has a heavily armored citadel, and putting a box on top of it. 12 inches of belt armor 3-4 inches of deck armor isn't something you can easily cut out. Plus removing the turrets will cause instability so you'd probably want to put a lightly armored flight deck on anyway just to bring back stability. So you'd still come out with an armored CVL carrying around 60 planes.

Regardless, converting them into FBBs would be so much better. You get fast ships that are both pleasing to look at and have good stats.

Trust in FF KTKM-sama for E2, by that I mean LBAS your preboss. If you run Yamato+5DD that means 1 4B base to Ru preboss and split 1 4F base across both air raid nodes.
Remember to put your best E4 killers in the STF lock and bench warmers in the CTF lock, remember to double check but I'm fairly certain its STF which will deal with LD.

Your old setup with the F4U-1D in the top slot was better in my opinion. Your Kitakami is pretty low luck, so I would either put her in flagship for the extra TCI chance, or just give her two +9 20.3cm guns for the consistent double attack damage since she nearly hits the night battle cap even without TCI.

Yuudachi is better.

The crit bonus due to double chevrons is the same regardless if it's a dive or torp bomber. It's just that normally you would want a torp bomber instead because their airstrike damage is better. However, on event maps which have heavy enemy AA, it's better to minimize the risk of getting all your fighter-bomber planes shot down by putting it in the top slot. She only gets 1 other attack. The touch consumes one of her attack turns. And the AP shell+radar combo gives a massive damage boost, so unless that double attack/cut in she would have gotten with a plane is going to be hitting for ~500 damage it's definitely worth it.
