this game is fucken weird

Anyone played Tamayura Mirai? Any Thoughts?

The big tits moege of May is rather weird and not particularly funny. It's also draggy. In the end, all the characters seem to talk about is RUUUULES, in the most nonsensical way.

In all honesty. The rules make sense. They are there to protect someone, in case they don't want anything to do with the other party outside of the whole "tomefure" thing. So if someone is disrespecting that, the other party can write that in their "review" on that page, and other people can avoid them.
But as soon as you meet outside of that, with both agreeing to interact, it's utterly retarded to quote rules. At that point, you simply become friends. Just because you started out with this "tomefure", that doesn't change a thing. Either you stay strict and are ONLY "tomefure", or graduate from it. This silly wishy-washy stuff the game does is just stupid. Honestly speaking, a strict "tomefure" relationship would've actually been interesting to see.
The concept is just super shaky. It's already exaggerated, but not enough so it gets funny through that alone. It feels like the rules are just there for padding excuses. Can't progress, nono, that would make the game too short. Gotta talk about the same shit for hours and crack a joke once every 30 minutes so people don't fall asleep.

It's not like it's horrible, but some people really overreacted when it comes to this game. Yes, you'd assume it's a lot worse than it is. But I don't think, that alone makes it good. Could've been good though. Showcasing the two sides of a coin, being alone (or in situations were you can't be yourself or be comfortable in) vs. staying together at night escaping the drags of the real world a little. Lick each other wounds (or genital areas). But in the end, it seems just like another mediocre moege with sex crammed at the end. A weird one, without routes and ugly udders, but whatsoever.

The idea of "not meeting at the outside" was actually nice imo and could be used for many great scenes, like where girls see mc at the school doing some stuff and complaining at the home or getting jealous / lonely because of it, trying to make him skip the school so they could talk all day etc. I could get behind of that and would probably enjoy it but as you have said after that pass the "tomefure" thing and become a real friend the entire rule talk becomes just a torture.

Like Aimi starts to think that she likes mc, then immediately other two or three comes and persuades her with "hey you dont like him, look at his face its bad there is no way you like him you just confuse tomefure thing with it" and she goes with "oh ok you are right I dont like him"After one or two hours Rin starts to think the same thing, and they literally do the same thing in front of the mc, goes with "Rin there is no way you would like someone like him, look at his ugly face if you liked him you'd notice him before he saves you" etc and somehow even Rin accepts it.

As you have said I know that they are making those shits just to make it longer but I definitely didnt enjoy those kind of scenes.

Found this setting in nukige. THEY'RE EVOLVING.

As everyone said this game's common route is definitely too short and girls are suddenly falling in love with mc even though there wasnt even a single scene where mc saves them or somehow do something to make them fall in love with them. While its still playable feels like too average and too lazy writing to be honest, in the end I'll play a couple of routes tho.

Also isnt this game's setting a little too creepy? I mean mc is going around at the school - gather infos about heroines then ask them at the night, which feels like some kind of stalker desu. I was kind of enjoying Tomefure when it was all comedy but the sex sure killed this game fast. They never stop and they're all basically the same scene, same lines endlessly repeated. I'm near the end but I'm not even sure I can stomach more. All charm is gone.

Few days have passed since I finished Amazing Grace and I'm my impressions are settling.

Honestly I think the actual mechanics of what's going on aren't sufficiently explored.

Firstly, it was kind disappointing that the city turned out to be an experiment test site, that's usually the least interesting explanation for this kind of mystery.

Also how the perpetrator behind the apocalypse turned out the be easily convinced to drop it and his instigator already dead.

And ultimately there was no attention put to how the city is ran, especially after the man behind it died. Who's in charge and why? Some random guys that beat up by Rinka in that one scene? Doesn't seem like enough of an explanation.

And really, the apples. Being really just miracles? C'mon.

H-scenes in romance games are tend to be jarring and awkward, there is no intimacy at all which is weird because they intend for you to fall in love and have a proper relationship with the heroine, not treat her like a prostitute. Honestly, a lot of eroge issues are actually because of budget.

For example, having just one writer will take very long compared to if you have multiple ones. If the protagonist (the most common thing between routes) has no character, it makes it easier for the writers and they can skip consistency checks and the likes. In other words, they simply hope that what little inconsistencies are still there, people don't mind or even realize. Like this you can create something fairly fast.
This is also "save", something a lot of companies really like. A bland character is probably not hated, which is more important than the potential of being good. Heroines sell the game, not the protagonist, so it's rather bad if the protagonist ruins it.

CG and such are also created like this. Very commonly you'll see fairly easy to use CG without too many restrictions when or where to use them. Common events like "dates" and whatnot are simply required by the writers and as such CG can be created before the story even stands. Less communication and such needed than if you create stuff as the story is written, though obviously that means most CG feel like they could be used somewhere else much better. You can basically give everyone a specific sheet as for what they have to do, what scenes to write/draw in general and can then let them all work without ever talking to each other. Afterwards you assemble.

Protagonists being unvoiced is also a budget thing. It's not rare that they have around the same lines as every single other character combined. And, again, the protagonist never sells the game, so doubling your voice acting expenses seems a bit much with little gain.


As long as people are fine with this, it's going to continue in this way. Some things are more understandable than others, but it is how it is. Luckily there are still plenty of exceptions. And those do tend to be more popular. But sales-wise?

The Steam version of Our World is Ended supports Japanese and is easily switchable to it.
