Extract this zip and move the "mods" folder to wherever your Multi Theft Auto.exe is (should be in C/Program Files (x86) or (x64)). Merge/overwrite whatever it asks. Theoretically this should allow you to avoid the download when you join. Also, since the graffiti's are stored client-side rather than server-side, this includes every single sprayed graffiti going back to our first tests. Do note that it will remove any graffitis you have saved though (you can bypass this by just not copying the "saved graffitis" folder in the grafffiti folder). But frankly I have no idea if this will work, use at your own discretion.

I was actually thinking about doing something just like that, ideally I wanted to use a Eurobeat radio but I can't seem to find any "genuine" ones since I need either an MP3 or pls to link it to our in-game radio like the Touhou ones. My recommendation to everyone that "is starting" with the game is to finish the story mode. It shows you how to do properly drive vehicles, how to do some tricks and also you get to know the whole world of San Andreas. Think of it as an academy.

IMO practice by driving in story mode isn't that good, you begin with your driving skill at the lowest (unlike MTA where everything is maxed out), as such you tend to skid way more. Plus, there's always the probability that modded cars in MTA may also have different handling/stats, needing to adjust your driving again).

I'd still recommend to play in single player though, SA is a very good game by itself but it's also great for familiarize with the controls, and to practice your gunplay as well (gang wars are also available pretty early).
For practice driving just host a private game of MTA (from the main menu), press F1 and you're free to warp everywhere and spawn any vehicle on demand.

They are people from all over the world, specifically SA,NA,SEA and EU. The SEA people most of the time have 250-300 ping but the server is good enough to make them play efficiently. And check your computer/laptop if it's suffering from lag spikes.

Additionally, for those that were wondering, I've been looking into it and ENB is possible to use in MTA! The catch is that only the two most recent versions of it work. Absolutely. Currently the turfs are on a rotation every few sessions. While it's possible to move them around we don't have enough players to warrant more than a few turfs at a given time, and I'm considering lowering even that amount a little more so the battles are more involved.

There's the old Ryosuke colormod plugin which adds a bit of contrast shading and glow (pic related), it's what I use since my integrated graphics toaster can't handle ENB. Too bad it doesn't works in MTA, only in singleplayer.

That's a drastic framerate drop. IIRC you can disable some of the effects like motionblur to gain some more fps.

Professional camerawork needs to be planned out, and often requires multiple takes, which doesn't work with the sporadic nature of our game-play. While I was mainly just going to use it to make it easier to capture video/pictures of our antics, the other anon made a good point in that it may have the side effect of people wanting to get good pictures or videos rather than having fun. The idea sounded better in my head, but maybe we can use it at another time for something else.

As just a small update, my main focus this week has been primarily cosmetic stuff that helps improve the atmosphere. Aside from the cherry blossoms, somebody mentioned something simple to improve the look of the game without changing the atmosphere so I found this simple server-side script that makes the skies look really pretty without detracting from the original feel of the game. This is the vanilla sky.

I was capped at 60, but before I turned off the FPS limiter on the ENB I was dropping down to like 20 frames per second. So if you want to test it, definitely press shift+enter and disable that before deciding whether or not it runs well for you.
