I'm finally going to unlock Makoto during this upcoming clan battle, would it be retarded to buy pieces with whale tears to get her to 5* immediately? I'm in an extremely comfy shitter clan that gets at most 3 coin purchases per clan battle, and since Makoto will have a permanent slot on the team forever I figure it'd be better to get the most mileage out of her from the get-go. Future coins would just go towards her personal equipment.

The optimal way is to roll her, 4* her with goddess frags or clan coins then use the one you didn't use before to 5*. If you haven't been able to roll her then its better to cover the unlock+4* with clan coins then memory piece to 5* because taking a character from 3* to 5* with memory pieces is really expensive, especially if said character is an old permanent character.

Get and max out the raid gloves - they're the only truly good raid weapon in the game - good for all Fuukas, so you can switch them around as needed.
Stigmatas, you'd want 2pc of Darwin (essentially a downgraded Monet,) from the foundry - which two pieces depends on what gacha stigs you have, otherwise, usually top and bottom w/Galileo mid (since her ult can float enemies,) replacing Galileo with Higo formals mid when they either rerun it (global and JP,) or get around to releasing it to begin with (SEA).
I still don't have SK, so I don't know if the +13% attack speed is enough on Kukuria bot to make up for the damage loss from using top+mid Darwin instead - anyone who wants to gainsay me, feel free.

That should be good enough for early to mid-late game, then you can work towards her best set: motif gloves, Monet top + bot, Nagamitsu mid.

Getting S fragments isn't that rare but it's hard anyway. They really want you to whale, not only you need 3 different shards but you also can get a dupe of a shard you already have and the weekly opal gain isn't very good. It's jewish as fuck. I did 3 full rolls and got 2 Ririko (second was a dupe), 1 Kun Yun and 1 Elusha fragments. Yuri is also still at 1/2.

I'd say don't make my mistake and save everything for collabs o someone you really really like. Chances are the same thing might happen to you but at least you'll have more chances. The free Wielders are good enough to clear all content so far, I'm on my 4th run and everything is still piss easy.

I think the way you're doing it is the best. Gold has the best chance of giving you fragments while everything else is varying degrees of meh.

Some of the free ones have good abilities so try to get them all. Some easy to get like Cybil who has 10 construction, the ones at the beginning of the memory hall are good too, Arashi has 8 development and Bahisa 9 construction. These will help you a lot. Antoneva has 14 construction but you're gonna need more wielders and high abilities to get her in the first place.

Third run. It's doable on your second run if you got lucky in the gacha, else it's recommended to do it on your third run. You need minimum 10 wielder, 24 construction and 22 developing points, else you'll fail.

I'd say do another route on your second run to prepare to do Antoneva's next time. Collect as many wielders as you can starting with Cybil and make sure you meet the ability point requirements. I did Antoneva's route on my third one and Ann's route on the second one, but Ann's route won't let you recruit many wielders since you spend most of the time paroling so if you didn't get Azusa/Seth, Arashi, Bahisa and maybe Eiruby it might not be the best choice for your second run too.

The best start would be Shadow Knight or Ruler of the Void. Shadow Knight has no rate-up so fishing her from the standard pool would be a long shot to be worth it, and the other one is limited and not available. Starting with an S is better than not.

Phoenix is a solid character. Semi-support for elemental teams, she can boost the team's elemental damage output nicely while also dealing decent damage herself. To use her to her full potential you need to upgrade her to SS. Her fragments are farmable so it's just a matter of time.

I'd say keep playing that account to see if you like the game and in a couple of days reroll for the pink loli if you like her that much and couldn't get her in that account. No reason to ditch it yet unless it's for a Shadow Knight account.

So, let me get what's happening in Honkai down straight.

In the English version the twins are coming this week, and they are farmable, and I should probably reroll right now and get ready to take a considerable amount of time to farm the both of them, but they are probably going to be in a gacha.

Both will be available in the gacha. The A character's fragments will be farmable from story stages and will be given out through events to unlock and rank up her easily. The S character's fragments are available at the witch's corridor and memorial shop for a limited amount per week.

The witch's corridor is a shop that uses a currency you get when selling fragments, but this can only be done for SSS maxed characters so as a new player you have no way to get this. The memorial shop uses a currency you get from playing memorial arena every week. The fragments in the witch's corridor will also only be available for the duration of the upcoming patch which is 6 weeks, the ones in memorial shop will stay there forever.

An endgame player like me who has all the mats needed already to buy the S fragments every week will have to spend 6 weeks buying them to unlock her for free. A mid tier player with some mats should be able to get her in 4 months or so, and to a new player it should take him over 6 months. This is because you have to be good in arena to be able to get a good amount of mats every week and you don't have any asterite which is used to buy the currency the fragments need directly while a long time player is sitting in over thousands of it.

Now the question is if you're willing to wait half a year to unlock her, or simply reroll until you get her right now when her gacha is up. It's not a secret rerolling in Houkai sucks but I think it beats having to wait that much.

Correct. The blue one is A and the pink one is S. You shouldn't worry about the A one since getting and maxing new A characters is very easy compared to old ones these days. Events after their release shower you with their fragments. I've gotten new A characters to SSS much faster than some characters that have been in the game since day 1. They aren't really hard to get from the gacha too if you can't wait for the events.

Focus on getting the S one. Either reroll or buy an account with her if that's a thing. Since you say you aren't very patient you should know Houkai is not a game that gives you instant gratification. A lot of things in the game are locked behind months of grind when you're not willing to spend money. Your efforts will be rewarded and you'll get what you want eventually, but it's going to take a lot of dedication and patience.

It's fine if you don't have any other S rank, there are guaranteed ways of getting some. There's the wishing well where you spend 6k gems to choose S Kiana, S Mei or S Bronya, then afterwards a cheaper one unlocks to get S Himeko, S Sakura or S Fuka. You are also guaranteed to get an S rank character within your first 33 rolls in the standard gacha.

Complete garbo. Her over the top gunkata animations do more harm than good. She's extremely hard to control while she spinning around, dealing very little damage and more often than not, getting herself killed by spinning straight into the group of mobs or boss attacks.

It's common knowledge that Herrscher of the Void dominates the Creature field while Shadow Knight dominates the Mecha field but who's the queen of Psy? I see a lot of characters released for that type but nobody really talks about a clear top for that area. Do people just run Herrscher and Shadow Knight plus a support to cover all types instead?

Phoenix. She's the best against small groups or 1vs1. If you're against a large group of enemies 6S is better since was designed to fight those. She has the edge over Phoenix in that aspect but Fuka doesn't fall too much behind to be considered inferior.

She's good with the Skull Magna, sucking in enemies to generate more SP goes perfectly with it and the extreme burning is still busted. She's a ridiculously strong character stuck in a class that's full of ridiculously strong characters which makes her seem worse than she is. She's about on par with monk Setsuna but there are barely any good blunt characters, especially ones that can use Skull Magna effectively like she can.

I guess this is a good roll.

Ranking rewards have been distributed in Compass. The effect is the same as Lyrica's, but orange instead of pink. Should you ever find someone with the opposite card or pack both yourself, it'll alternate between pink and orange and occasionally give you the special little icons.

The game will also be down for maintenance on the 23rd from 02:00 ~ 08:00 JST. No saying what it's for, based on the times I suspect it's for maintaining their server hardware but who knows.
