Eternal City's translation isn't intelligible gibberish but a few parts seem Google translated. Some other bits are almost correct but seems like the translator didn't have context when he was working on it so he made some dumb mistakes.

Very obvious Google translated lines when the voice at the beginning talks about punishment for things you don't remember or don't know if they were real.
After the tutorial Ann says "I'm awake I'm awake" but she's actually saying "Oh he's awake", referring to the player character who just woke up. There are more instances of translated lines where she talks about herself like "what if I keep forgetting what has happened before?" but she's actually talking about the player not remembering how he got here and what would happen if he keeps forgetting things. These kind of errors seem frequent on Ann's lines, Antoneva's lines are fine. Most likely two different people worked on the translation and one of them doesn't actually know Chinese/Japanese.
The he/she thing was dumb since a simple rewrite would have looked better but not really a problem once you input your name since they start using that instead.
There are also some odd choices like leaving untranslated "kekkai" instead of just saying barrier.
Overall the translation is readable and shouldn't be the reason why you don't play the game. The errors are easily spotted and you can understand what was actually said by the context. The story is interesting enough to put up with them.

From what I've seen the first 10 rolls are rigged. The 1st will always give you a full Rank C character, 2nd random item, 3rd full Rank B character, 4th random item and 5th a fragment of a Rank A character. This fragment is the most important part of the reroll because on your 10th roll you're gonna get the second fragment of that character to unlock it, so you want to make sure you get a good character or someone you like there.

How was Arknights? I really loved the aesthetics in the PV and the general feel of the designs but I can't read chink so I was wondering if any of you guys were playing it.

What's the size of Eternal City?

When it comes to equipment, damage is king. You'll only really need to focus on developing two sets - one for magic damage and the other for physical. Equipment can be shared across as many characters as you want also.

Equipment with the RARE text in the corner are the strongest in terms of stats, and only require 2 of them to upgrade to the next rarity. However, they're harder to acquire and need different materials to upgrade to the max rarity.

They're kinda nice for the story segments but yeah saving a spot for whatever male character manages to win their joke bracket sucks. The only problem I have with playing in multiple servers is that if you buy a certain amount of gems on one server, you can't buy that same amount in another server. It's most likely a bug but I hope they fix it asap because I can't buy all the starter packages otherwise.

Buying them was good when I was just levelling the team I'd been using most of the game. My problem came when I finally pulled a weapon I wanted to start using,so I had to level a new girl from 1 to I think 32 at that point.
Had more than enough drinks to stuff her with, and I had the shit to upgrade her Sefirot just fine, but I was incredibly lacking in cost effective ways to raise her actually important level, and even when I got enough to do that I realized that it cost like, triple the gold I actually had despite saving it up.

The maze drops gold like candy (like 100+k gold per run) and since you only really have to grind for like 6 witches anyway the mats are pretty easy to save up if you plan carefully.

One thing I like about the weapon upgrading is that the cost of upgrading per exp is consistent; it costs the same whether you upgrade with ten 10 exp mats or one 100 exp mat, or whether you upgrade 1200 exp at one go or do it 10 exp at a time.

You get one reset a day so that's like 100+k coins a day, and you can stack up to 3 resets so if your guild decides to go with the +10% maze points buff or the +20% coins from maze buff you can burn 4 runs at one go, including your current run. It's refreshing to see the gold cost of weapon levelling being completely consistent with exp in WW since not many games do that. Of course +100 exp at level 30 still costs a lot more than +100 exp at single digit levels but that's only to be expected.

The witch using the guitar is one of the few characters that can fit into both physical and magical builds, but unless you have the mats to spare it's not really a good idea to go for physical builds since you can go far enough with just miko + healer + Beatrice + Iruka + guitar witch + Gin/Alice/Mikoto/etc (the game gives you the first 3 for free and Iruka's most useful weapon has an R rarity rating so it's fairly easy to roll for).

Mihoyo is an exception, they even have the global and sea servers for ggz still running. I don't think you're understanding why people are shitting on sea servers and global servers. The main reason to avoid playing on them is because they're more likely to shut down and every sea game that /mbgg/ has played other than honkai has terminated service much earlier than their jp counterparts. Global servers are much more likely to last compared to sea servers because they have a much larger audience they can pull from but even global servers are prone to shutting down early while the original server is still putting out new content.

That's why playing on a JP/CN/KR server is always recommended. If the game was popular to grab enough attention to get a localization then it's doing something right in its home country and those servers are the least likely to close early. Not even well known IPs are safe, look at Tales shutting down and all the globalfags having to migrate and start over on JP.
