On a more serious note, how long do you think the current strong Touhou cult following train can go?

English Touhou fan communities have existed long before the Marisa Stole the Precious Thing flash, but that was when the whole thing really took off and expanded on English communities. You can say it's had a large devoted fanbase for about 2 years now over here.

Do you think it'll still be going strong 2 years from now? Is it still picking up steam, or is it slowing down?

Hell, dare I say most have?
However Touhou lacks offical massproduced, and offical tranlated mangas and will most likely never get a anime in ZUNs lifetime. Same thing goes for the genre of the Touhou games in North America. Bullet-hell games are pretty rare here.

I only heard of Touhou after I came to 4chan.
