I'm looking for recommendations on good Japanese (or other Asian) live action movies and tv series. So far I've got Densha Otoko, Tennen, Linda Linda, Battle Royal I and II, and Oldboy. I've noticed this is a largely overlooked area on 4chan, in fact foreign films in general seem to be comparatively "underground" on the internet.

I've watched these and they are pretty grand. I'll also suggest:
Hold Up Down: Bank robbery goes wrong. Comedy ensues.
Stay At Home Dad: Television series which offers a unique perspective of a once-proud businessman forced to take on the woman's role in domestic activities while his wife gets a job. Fairly interesting, mainly due Japan being considered conservative regarding this.
Welcome to the White Room: A woman finds herself in a pristine, white medical room with no recollection of how she got there.

Back on topic, there's a movie I watched two or three years ago I don't remember the name but it was about a writer and a censor back in WW2 times when the emperor prohibited everything that could be subversive.
