I've been wandering aimlessly after learning kanas. I've learned some grammar from random youtube videos, some words I encounter here and there. And basic (and not so basic) kanjis.

Right now I decide to read この素晴らしい世界に祝福を！but using yomichan for every word is kinda exhausting. Some times I have to look out the whole fucking sentence, luckily I'm starting to use it for a single word and since I know the other words I can kinda get the gist of what the writer is writing about.

If you're studying, you're doing it wrong.

Literally just pick something that seems interesting, whip out the J-E dictionary and try to make sense of it. That's fundamentally all it takes to learn. You'll suck at first, but there's nothing wrong with sucking at something you've only just started. Rome wasn't built in a day. The more you read and listen to native content, the better you'll get at understanding it. Just have faith in that and keep moving forward.

You don't have to just copy a sentence, but also a definition and I doubt that's the only thing your cards consist of. You lack assistive tools like Yomichan and if you have anything other than the sentence on your card chances are you aren't making them faster than me. I have shown my cards take 15 seconds to make, so no matter how fast you do yours, it's not a long time and I wager most people spend more time on their cards.

You have not understood my flashcards and haven't read anything I wrote about them. I listen to the audio when I learn new cards and when I fail cards. That is about 40 cards in total each day and every card I will have listened to at least once. I use the context to learn the word and then recall the word independent of it. If I know the word I have no need to listen to the audio every time, but it greatly reinforces every failed card. That way I average 4 seconds per review.
