Played it some years ago and enjoyed it somewhat. I didn't continue all the way through because I was frustrated with the game's difficulty. Either that or I'm really bad at it.

Touhou Diablo 2: Gensokyou Treasure Hunting. 2nd game has a better item system with you being able to craft stuff but it also gets completely broken near the end when you can craft items that are so strong that no enemy on the game can ever hurt you.

No, the difficulty is just ass because the first game is 100% based on random drops and for some stupid reason most of them either have high attack and 0 defense or high defence and basically no attack. I remember only being able to beat it by basically giving the AI max defense and then spamming the best ranged weapon I had. I would basically die in 1 hit from everything.

I guess. Either way, I didn't so much play it as I die to every one or two hits. Broadsword + Mystia's food can only get me so far.

I have finished the first game like twice. Playing single is kind of chore since and I also have to deal with shitty AI partner. Then I played it again with my little brother and cousins. I had fun with 4P multiplayer though it has camera issues and the game become a lot easier.

All in all I enjoyed it but I won't call it a good game. It's just a game made by bored student who just want Touhou x Diablo to exist but at least it's cute.
