Some thoughts on Megido after about 2 hours

-Battle system is interesting. AI seems dumb on auto so it doesn't seem like a game where you can just auto your way through all content.

-Has skip tickets for farming materials. Downside is the only options are 1 run or your entire stamina bar. AP pots seem plentiful so I guess it doesn't matter that much.

-The art looks meh but the 3D models are cute so it's misleading

-Not sure how the gacha currency gain is later on but there is a guaranteed character banner you can pull 4 times. Looking at the list and comparing it to a tier list on altema it seems most in there are great. Already pulled it twice and 1/3 of the way to another.

There are 3 types of characters: Rush, Burst and Counter. The 10roll at start has you pick from one of them. I'm not really sure on the exact details of the difference between each type but there is a leader skill type system that affects them. The bonuses aren't too gamechanging from what I see so can probably mix&match until autistic content.

Each type has 3 characters in it's pool and you're guaranteed 1 of them. Then there's 10~ other characters from that type you can also get in that roll. Max 3 characters. You can keep rolling until you get what you want.

Gamewith recommended counter and it has cute girls in it so I went for that. I rolled until I got either アムドゥスキアス or マルバス + a 3rd character. Only took about 3 minutes of rolling.

Keep event ones obviously. Aside from those, I keep one of each and I've started selling any dupes instead of using them for skill increases ever since they started placing 20 petite skill cookies in every event exchange.

Otherwise, if you still don't have enough subs to cover for a weapon/element, then you should try to keep extras for those. Or shove some into the extra storage room instead of selling them. If you're still uncertain, try to keep ones with defense boost or shielding and healers and attack-alls with no buff, since those skills tend to be worthless on 4-stars without skill levels.
I don't think I've ever used any of the original 3-star cards, like the ones of their casual outfit and night slayer.

Disclaimer: I had to increase main storage space at one point anyway before they added the extra side storage.

It's a bit hard to say. Higher worlds will make you struggle.. but then they get easier the more you clear them. Then you have the fact that the level cap has been at 120 for like a year too so every other bote in your collection worth a damn will be at 120 melting everything. It's because they staggered release of EN and made events need to loop AGAIN. I think they're mostly done with that shit though so hopefully a higher level cap and more difficult events are coming soon. The EX modes of events will kick your ass though and actually provide a challenge... but they provide no reward either.

It just couldn't compete. Tokidol had a lot of potential but it was dead on arrival. The devs pretty much gave up any real effort a few weeks into the game. Which was made obvious by the fact that there was no new voiced content besides songs after the first event; and most of the songs are instrumental covers. The rhythm game itself was alright. Most of the draw was in costumes/accessories and dressing up the girls along with getting to know them. Unfortunately while there was a lot of the former there was very little of the latter. It's a shame really. I played it since launch and I still do occasionally. the girls were cute and some of the songs were quite good. I think it would have done quite well for itself had it been introduced three or four years ago instead of into the current over-saturated market.

I really hope they give a core upgrade to vampire theresa when they get there. This version of her is my favorite by far and I absolutely wish it was more usable for endgame/high level content.

So what contributed to Idola's failure?

It's a better than average mobage in my book(I've tried dozens of mobages, half of which are already shut down). It has enough effort put into visual side to be popular. But two things made me drop it:
-No voice acting aside from the main story line. And the game has tons of side stories.
-Event rewards are a joke and give no incentive to farm them.

The first event at least came with a free unique character. Then they proceeded to make a bunch of events where you get the equivalent of FGO's Craft Essense as a reward. What bothered me the most is that these CE just had an existing character's sprite in a different themed outfit. I remember nips complaining "why are these not playable character versions or skins?"
But that's just my perspective. I'm sure these are not the worst thing about the game, right?

Fire Emblem franchise itself isn't one of the deepest tactical games. FEH somehow made it even more shallow, featuring tiny maps and no support dialogue system(which was a thing almost everyone liked about FE in the first place).
If you played Fire Emblem games before and want to see your waifus in action - sure, give it a try. It might grow on you.

I'm a /lifelong/ incestNTReugenics emblemfag, and I fucking hate FEH. The biggest problem to me is that you have to whale nonstop if you want to keep up at all. Rolling the character you want in grub/priconne/fgo is an immediate success, since that character gives you want you want either from a gameplay or waifu perspective. FEH gives out a ton of free rolls and the rates are higher, but rolling for whatever character you want on pick up gacha is a big fucking nothingburger. Did you roll one with shit IVs? You have to roll for another one to fix it. Oh and you need to roll them fucking eleven (11) times to get their maximum potential. Also you need 2-3 other 5* exclusive characters to feed to them as skill fodder, who you either have to already have sitting around or wait for them to go on pick up gacha themselves. And this isn't even going into how the game itself is literally fucking nothing.

Skills are the same regardless, but in FEH there are five stats, HP/Attack/Speed/Def/Resistance(magic def). When you roll a character, one of their stats is higher and one is lower than their baseline. So for example, Ike could have an attack stat of 33 (low), 36 (neutral), or 39 (high). If you roll an Ike with HP/Res plus and Atk/Spd/Def minus you're going to want to fucking kill yourself. Unless you want to give them more rolls/money to roll another one to fix it.

BD is so successful for a few reasons. The rhythm game is quite fun. Combined with the stamina system that only multiplies event point and exp gain; which allows you to simply play the game without any gates if you so choose.
