ベアトリーチェ gives off a more classic feeling. I think it's how it's pronounced in italian or some language like that.

>> No.2092560

One thing I still can't quite grasp about her.

At the start of EP2, it's shown that Beato becomes Beatrice because Virgilia teaches her magic and passes down the name. However, in the EP3 Tea Party, it's revealed that Beatrice is only a witch because Lambdadelta made her one.

So if Virgilia isn't Beatrice's mentor, then what exactly is her role in what's going on?

>> No.2092724

>2092560
maybe: 1. she needed lambda's vote to become a witch in the first place or 2. she made her a witch (again) after she lost the title of Beatrice

>> No.2092787

>>2092560
End of ep3 Beato tells Eva in red that witches dont exist, im pretty sure this causes her to lose her powers.

And to be able to get back into the game she has to rely on borrowed magic from 34.

And im not sure id call Virgilia a backstabber yet as by acting creepy/weird in the end Battler did not sign the paper wich saved his ass.

Because she came from Beatrice Portinari of The Divine Comedy.

>> No.2093536

We have no proof what she did at the end. Battler was covering his ears, remember? We just know she was saying something in red.

Also, read Lambda's diary on AnimeSuki. Lambda was the one that made Beato a proper witch AFTER she learned magic. It's the whole recommendation thing mentioned during Evatrice's coronation.

I think the important part is this "disease" she refers to. Likely, it will play a role very soon in the future.

>> No.2094949

>>2094917
No she mentions 34 in the third person all throughout that letter and with regards to the "story that always begins on june 20th" says You, I, and that girl (lambda) so she is definably talking to someone else

also copypasting what I just posted in a thread on /a/ about this very same topic (Vergillia):

Whats to say she DID betray him?

Beato mentions using the "sun and north wind" to trap Battler at the end of ep 3, a strategy Virgillia gave her AFTER she had already helped Battler with Schrodinger's catbox. She may just be dispensing equel advice to both parties but seeing as how she was critical to Beato's plan she resigned to take an active role not so much of her own violation as for the necessity the rules of the game and Beato's stratagem, she was a "lost piece" on the board by then.

Alternatively it just may be a case of strict tutoring, she may have known Battler wouldn't suffer total loss here and decided to teach him to trust noone the hard way. It worked as he finally started to suspect his family now.

But we still don't know what Virgilia's motivations are. I mean, if Beato was playing to lose, then who's to say what Virgilia's goal is?

>> No.2094978

>>2094955
Well about Beato she says

>In that sense, we may say that since she put together her own magic system, even if she enters the begginers class, as a witch, her level already surpasses the witches, ... and she is starting to step even into your level.

So whoever she is talking to can hop dimensions, and "surpasses the level of witches". I doubt thats the reader

You need to change to Japanese fonts. Theres a walkthrough on Witch Hunt's website.

I had the same problem yesterday installing on a friends. Thing is, the installer can't read the ??????????.exe part, so it can't properly create the file. Once you have Jap fonts on, it will show up properly as kanji.

thx again for your help, found a workaround the whole changing the regional settings to japanese in that guide. I just ran the launcher.exe in the iso with AppLocale like I prolly should have tried in the first place (I know, i'm a tard), then it showed the characters correctly in the installer and finished without a problem. figured i'd post this here in case someone out there had the same problem.

Just in case, check if your bgm folder has the same number of tracks as the bgm folder on the iso. If not, you fucked up.
