Planetarian thread.

Cried at the end?

>> No.2092953

yes, this was really good. it's not very long for a VN, and has a compelling story and background that is brought to life. It's somewhat of a classic. If you're looking for porn in your visual novel, look somewhere else though.

>>2092950
Yes, I cried at the end.

Bawww like a girl at the end.

I didn't cry at the end. Then I played the BGMs and lied down and thought about it, that's when the tears came.

I do that with shit all the time. It's sometimes days later before the impact of certain things catches up with me, I guess I'm just incredibly slow on the uptake.

Nah. It's touching, but I don't let myself BAWWW over things like this.

My college has a planetarium, and I had never been to one before. I never really thought about it, even though I knew it was there, and after playing Planetarian, I stopped by on Valentines Day for a show on impulse. It was awesome. I kept thinking about Reverie. The presenter at my school's planetarian was this cute young girl who seemed like she knew everything about the stars and her presentation was about the love stories behind the constellations in the sky. It was nice.

>> No.2092977

PLANETARIAN MOVIE WHERE?!

They really need to get their asses in gear.

>> No.2092983

I read Kana before I read this so I wasn't really phased by this.

>> No.2092984

When I played it, I didn't BAWWW at the end, but tears started running down my face. Right after I finished and I was sitting there, I started to think about the whole thing, and the tragedy of it all really started to hit me, and then I just kinda started bawling like a girl. I'm glad nobody was there to see me.

lol, I can imagine.

"Mom! I'm crying because I've just realized something important about life! The stars will always be there, but we won't always be there to see them and remember them! Life is so fragile! I want to live and enjoy life before it ends!!!"

Seriously though, the next time there's a hurricane or something, and your city has power failures, when the weather clears, go outside and look at the stars. It will be the most beautiful thing you've ever seen, when there isn't any light on the ground to dim the stars.

>> No.2093017

Erm... Actually it was something like that:

"So, what are you do- are you crying?"
"Nope, just scratching my eyes..."
"Seriously, aren't you too old to be crying?"
"Ahahaha, i guess..."

I think i was 17 at the time.

Why was it awkward to explain? You could have just said, "I just finished reading a sad story." No reason to go into details about it being a moe anime robot.

>> No.2093024

A movie could be pretty good if they put some effort into it.

Oh, and mindfuck: The junker is an American. Remember when he gave his second camouflage cloak to Reverie? It was the US Army's digital camo scheme.

I never understood why my uncle was obsessed with the sky and the stars until I played Planetarian. And by obsessed, I mean he's my only unmarried relative of his generation, and he spends tons of money on cameras, telescopes, and plane tickets to see astrological phenomena. He dragged us to an observatory the week after I finished Planetarian. I cried like a bitch.

Revvie's hell will be exactly like her version of heaven. She will never break, her batteries never runs out. The planetarium is exactly as it was. There never was a war. Plenty of people come to visit the planetarium everyday and find great joy with in.

The only difference is that, in this place, no one seems to be able to see or hear or even bump into her. Try as she might, the world around her will carry on as if she doesn't exist at all.
