Can anybody recommend any shows like Solitary Gourmet? Cozy Japanese food shows are my absolute favorite things to watch.

I've watched Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories and Kantaro: Sweet Tooth Salaryman on Netflix and they were pretty good. I tried watching Samurai Gourmet but it was kinda cringey and seemed like it was aimed at a western audience.

You could probably guess the end after watching the first two episodes. The drama is cliche and bland from head to toe. I've been waiting for anything unexpected or shocking to happen, anything to diverge away from the monotonous "turn of events" if you could call them that but to no avail. The heroine comes and helps her co-workers through fortune-telling in the most boring, cliche and predictable ways. The characters are as bland as the story, it would be a miracle to have any sympathy for them or to feel engaged with what they are going through. And don't get me started with the cringe-inducing, overused encouragement speeches and boring advises and whatnot. The only good thing about this drama is the phenomenal actor Oikawa Mitsuhiro and his small funny appearances throughout the drama. As expected from a great actor, he was on a different universe compared to his co-stars despite his supporting role. Honestly if anyone is bothering to watch this shit, just watch episode 1, move to episode 7 immediately (Oikawa Mitsuhiro's episode) and skip through the last episode, although I don't see why anyone would waste their time watching this absolute shitter.
