There's no inherent difference between a mobile app and a browser app that would make translating one significantly harder than the other.

Some new cards themed around Thorn have been added to Compass. For now they can only be obtained from special daily missions. You'll get three a day (need to complete the first one before the next appears) and they will be available until the 28th, so that's a max of 21 chips. They'll be added to the gacha later on.

That's where it goes from what website you're linked to like in GBF to requiring your files to be altered like in Shadowverse. So the question comes down to if they want to devote people to not only translating a large amount of story but to continuously keep up 2 separate versions of some game files for each language. At that point why not just release it as a separate global app? Logistically it doesn't make sense to add an English option like with GBF, China opted for an entirely new localized app for a reason so it's only natural that an English release would follow suit. So now the question to ask is if a SEA release would be a profitable use of resources and history has shown that it's a completely retarded thing to do when you can release it globally instead. So then it becomes an issue of if the western market would accept a lolige like this and that's doubtful.

Started playing the SEA server of Honkai impact because I wanted to read stuff in English and it seems that it really caught up to JP. They seem to be on the same story chapter JP is and the same event JP is so its pretty much the same thing with the only regional difference being that JP gets double crystal drops from missions while SEA/Global don't. The touching feature is completely gone too, I thought they left it in for SEA and removed it for global but its completely gone here too in Valkyries that should have it.

Seems like it'd be nice to have this version of the game installed to actually be able to read stuff on this client and actually play the game on the JP account I've had since forever since I see zero reasons to ditch it for this. The other option would be to watch videos of people recording the story events if I become too lazy or desperate for space considering the game is pretty heavy.

They're actually ahead by 2 weeks or so. They get events earlier than JP and even are getting the Mei core rework JP isn't getting until next version. A totally new player has no reason to start on JP anymore since once you hit endgame the double crystal gain stops mattering because there is nothing left to clear and you start depending on event rewards instead, new story content doesn't come out often enough to be worth it. For whale tears it is your choice. Non-limited characters can be farmed to 5* but it will take you a few months. If you don't want to wait then you can spend your whale tears on them. If you don't mind waiting and want to be frugal then you can save the whale tears for limited gacha characters since they will never be farmable.

In battle you usually do Normal x2 > Zero Divide > Zero Divide > Fange Raffica > Hidden Pilastro della Luce. You can also put Fange at the start or in between Zero Divide, you use it to break IS, stagger and get a bit closer to the enemy so where it's in the chain is up to you. Hidden Zero Divide normal is good but the hidden version is pretty underwhelming. Hidden Pilastro della Luce is damn good so that one is preferred unless you really want to stay at long range.
