Haven't played this in a while, and I chose the Japanese executable so I didn't recognize the spell card names... died once to Ran and once in the stage part after that. I didn't really bother with score either, messing up the border graze in the beginning.

I've been playing Touhou for 2 weeks and it's my first pacifist run, died on Satori's last spell. Is my powerlevel satisfying or should I pratice more?

Line yourself so your hitbox partially covers her shoes. You'll have to expend a bomb or die on Normal / Hard to make use of it since it won't in full effect until a bit later. It's also possible to time the bomb so you won't lose the bonus.

There's more leeway, maybe a hitbox's worth right below the one shown in the image.

god, that was pathetic... did pretty well on the stage, then died to Reisen's 2nd spellcard, and panicked and bombed her 3rd spellcard. It pisses me off so much, I can beat her 3rd spellcard over and over on Hard in Spell Practice, but when I get to it on an actual run even on Normal, it's like I've never seen it before and just have to say oh fuck time to bomb
