I'd recommend buying the x2 dungeon drop pass though in that case as you're getting mana from that along with more coins and more drops too along with daily crystals. It's not terribly expensive so it's a decent investment for a month or two if you're super low on mana.

Admittedly, this a pretty low-damage output team that I'm sure most frontline tanks wouldn't have an issue surviving, but felt like doing some more testing with Mifuyu and her personal equipment. This is just silly, she managed to survive the entire battle, and was even able to kill Ilya. On a related note, if not for the dungeon boss's end-of-battle wipe attack, she would be able to, with enough repetitions, be able to single-handedly defeat it.

Kyouka/SKaryl/Akari are generally the standard with Ilya+Tank or Misato+Tank being the fillers. It's kind of hard to deviate from that since they're just so potent. Normal Karyl is pretty good now though since she has MDef down to help assist the other mages and she is hitting.. decent numbers when fully geared and her unique equipment is upgraded. Nothing fantastic but it's better than nothing. Hatsune does very little now honestly outside of trying to poke things in the backline in Luna Tower.

To be entirely fair there's a reason why we've used Makoto since day 1 and it's not because of her damage. Having a dedicated (potent) debuffer can be key. But Anna is just awkward since she's midline, fragile as shit, her UB is useless and she blows up on low HP so she's a liability in most cases.

And don't be afraid to farm some stages for gear/levels for a while and, if you can, just straight up ask your clan for whole items (not the fragments to make the items) as that will boost you ahead significantly and it means nothing to anyone playing for a while since they'll have thousands of the junk doing nothing anyway. Ilya out, Kaori in. Anna out, Yui in (for now) as she applies a defence up to help your Peco and her UB heals too. It's not ideal but at least half of your team wont be jihads. Ilya kills herself but life steals it back with her UB but she can crit herself with the self damage and can easily die - this is made worse with enemies that hit past your tank(s) so she's a liability. Anna is frail and blows up on low HP and her UB makes her defences 0 so if anything touches her she dies. Kaori is one of the strongest straight up physical attackers in the game. Remember that you can buy stamina with crystals (first is 40 per for the first 3 refreshes, 120 stamina per refresh) that will enable you to power level for quite some time at that level.

Is Kaori in front or behind Peco in your party lineup? I honestly forget, she's kind of awkward in that regard as she takes priority over most others including Nozomi who is a tank. If Kaori is taking the #1 spot or is giving you trouble then swap out Kaori for Kokoro, she's a good buffer who provides haste and attack up for your group and can heal herself though don't neglect Kaori, you'll want her much later.

Because your team is all or nothing DPS so it will have more desirable results when you're actually a decent level for the content. Once the enemies start hitting your 2nd/3rd/5th slot instead of your 1st slot then you will be severely struggling because, as mentioned above, you're running 2 mages who kill themselves. And overlevelling wont help in that scenario.

This cat is mostly an arena unit. Summer cat is the one that's good for PVE because her union burst deals a lot of damage if there's only one enemy (A boss) so you need a better damage dealer

These two are awful and worse with your team. Anna zeroes her defenses on her union burst and Ilya actively chunks her own HP. The way to use Ilya is to babysit her and run a team dedicated to her like Tank/Saren/Ilya/Monica and then a healer or another DPS but at the early stages you can't afford this luxury so try to replace them for better single target damage dealers like Kaori or Shiori for example.

Rino is another character that gets better later on but isn't really too good early on and her union burst is AOE which isn't really going to help your damage so you should replace her too.

You'll probably want a healer but your only healing option is Yui at the moment because you should absolutely and definitely be rushing Nozomi from the dungeon shop for a better tank.

Though since you're only level 23 you could also consider the option to reroll for Christina if we get a princess fest on anniversary. If you don't want to then that's okay, just follow the advice above, Try to keep your characters fully equipped for the world you're in like having everyone in R2 for world 2, everyone in R3 for world 3, etc etc.

You should do the newbie investigation one first at least, in events, that should give you a bunch of materials. Don't expect motifs from multiplayer, they're completely unexpected and only from the toughest maps. Having a status barrier would be nice so you don't have to micromanage gear during events but he should be strong enough to make up for having to use an accessory that negates a status effect. If I remember, pahjeets guards against it so it shouldn't be a huge damage loss. For levels that have multiple status effects that's when it becomes an actual concern and a huge detriment but for a single one it's kinda whatever.

It really feels like they're skimping on the status barriers recently though or tying them to weapons instead, they're probably just being jews again and waiting to powercreep with them in a few months. Your problem is you are saving when you have just started. You are being greedy and you are feeling the effects of it. Most people do a handful of pulls and get themselves a Pudding at the very least just straight up start with Jun so they don't have this issue. Not to mention you have limited whale tears to work with and the price goes up with every 20 you purchase. Buying a 2* to 3* upgrade costs 100 shards which is 20+40+60+80+100 = 300. That's a lot.

Honestly, if I were you, I'd just hold on for a week or two and do one of two things: blow everything on whatever appears and go from there OR just flat out reroll. You started with Rino and Ilya who are probably the worst choices to start with. Ilya is at least used endgame but you need to invest into her. You really want a tank (Pudding/Jun) and Makoto or Christina if she's available. That will make your experience of the game 500000000 times easier.

Nozomi is a great tank and comes with a heal and a taunt. Her only downside is that she has awkward placement with Kaori. Ayane is a decent melee but nothing special.
