some characters, like chen, have different versions, a 1.0 and 1.5, this pic displays both of them side by side. the number 31 that you are questioning, is effectively the 31st fumo released/rereleased. like sakyupup is 1, marisa is 2 i believe, but marisa is also several other numbers for each time shes been rereleased. any differences you'd encounter wouldnt be seen in the release number, but in the version number, which is again only for some characters (like marisa) and they would be listed as 1 or 1.5

Hi, Chen-owner and taker of that comparison picture sneaking in with data - here's a list of the differences in Chen 1.5 (right) as compared to Chen 1.0 (left):
-overall slightly larger
-face is higher up on head
-hair is a cool shade of brown rather than a warm shade
-some combination of legs longer/skirt shorter that results in more leggy showing
-white stripe on skirt is thinner
-tails are a bit larger
-lace trim added to bloomers
-possibly some hat differences, but neither of the Chens in question wear their hats and I was too lazy to go across the house and get them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The auction for 25 fumos that I linked to in the previous thread, https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/h371652027, ended up going for ¥83k - ~¥3500 each is pretty good but, of course, for that price they had all been freed from their transparent prison bags, although those that originally came with tags still had them attached.

dekas are giant fumos, theres one for reimu, marisa, flandre, remilia and cirno. they are super expensive. fumo is basically a play on the japanese onomatopoeia for something soft

Fair enough. I'm not saying not to get a fumo, I want to get a fumo one of these days. I won't lie though, they're expensive but I don't spend money really on figurines/other merch. I'm still bummed they don't have a Rumia fumo (although it's understandable because Rumia isn't one of the top popular Touhous), but I'd settle for Cirno.

Yeah, the Japs tend to keep tags on things like plushes, character goods, vinyl/sofubi toku toys, etc... Cheaper items. I think the mindset behind this is they are low-end items so therefore should be displayed and aren't meant to be used.

I started collecting Fumos in 2011 or so and I ripped 'em off the originals so I just kept doing that. I've kept some of them and just stuck 'em to my wall for decoration.

Yep, they stand about 70cm tall. The moving arm isn't a standard feature, though. Here are some dekafumos available from Suruga-ya to give you an idea on pricing:

Trying not to shill, but I did like some of the indie games there. Got to play a few, such as this pokemon puzzle challenge game featuring cute girls.

Also Kaguya sat here and played super mario (not boobhu) rpg for 5 hours. Got to boosters tower before accidentally overriding the save file with a quick save. Why. Why is quicksave and the regular save file not sperate? This is why I'll stick to emulators on my computer instead.

I once dreamt...I was running across a strange desert-y battlefield, weaving past frontlines of fighting robots, I would throw my Yukarin fumo high up into the air before running to catch her. For some reason 2-D showed up, he looked at me like he was charmed or something, I couldn't tell if he was coming for me or my fumo, I was telling him to stay back and made some drawn out yell as he charged at me with floating love-hearts emanating from him. As he came close I kicked him over and he lied still. Then Murdoc showed up and did the same thing, he charged at me all charmed, as I yelled his name in a drawn out way, then also kicked him over.
