why do japanese love bangs in anime/games so much? it may be rather hard to find an anime or game character that doesn't have bangs of some kind, certainly some don't but the overwhelming majority has them. i have just listed through all the characters of labyrinth of touhou 2 on the wiki looking for a single character without bangs and they literally all have them...

When you say bangs, I thought you meant the sides.
Also, the intrepetation is up to the artist and whoever views it. No two instances of thought will be the exact same.

Some girls have bangs that do go over their forehead, you just don't notice it because not everyone does it. It wouldn't be surprising if someone drew a girl with certain features only for it to go mainstream and become the industry standard across professionals and even novices alike.
