In Japan, certainly these books are best-seller.
Fortune-telling often starts a boom in Japan.Especially blood type fortune-telling has been popular. This book is almost similar.
But I am perverse against boom,so I am spectical in these.
Besides, these effects are explained by Barnum effect.
However,it is not I don't believe those description.Actually,I am sometimes eccentric like this and I am AB...

>> No.2059675

SPOILER:

Since Japan is such a homogeneous society, they
have to use blood-types/horoscopes to stereotype.
I mean, when you have a prime-time TV show (ケンミン) that features weird traditions of
prefectures, you know that there are not many stereotypes.

The whole blood-type thing is the equivalent of Americans
thinking Asians are geeks, Blacks are basketball players,
Jews are fucking rich, and Indians own convenient stores

>perfectionists but overanxious; Type Bs are

Blood type Z in this motherfucker, and I'm looking to eat some brains right here...

<looks around>

WAAAAAAA! I'M GONNA STAAAAAARVE!

>> No.2060034

It's "prone". Nothing wrong with stereotypes, since they're mostly right. White trash listens to rap, rednecks listen to country. Fat people are stupid and eat too much.
Blood types are prone behavior, most people aren't made up from a single source of reaction but that doesn't make it any less right that the majority follow these rules.
Stereotypes are sound on the premise you're talking to normal people.

yeah about that... no.
Choice in music is the effect of the person, a representation (a crude one) of a person. You are born with a bloodtype, which is influenced by genes that have nothing to do with a personality.

I, myself, am a worshiper at the temple of reason, and I believe that if we were to apply the principles of reasons in this case, we should determine with more certainty whether blood type can be related to personality, by seeing it from another side than whether the described personality traits can apply to people of a certain blood type. I would claim that all personality traits are present to some degree in all humans, so it is possible to identify with all of the profiles that could be presented to you. Combine this with an unconscious confirmation bias, and you can easily get the illusion that it works, regardless of the truth.

What I would like to see is a test where people who are not aware of their bloodtype are gathered and asked to pick out the bloodtype profile they think best represents them. Out of this, you could gather some statistics which would put some light to the accuracy of this.
