Real talk. Was the Episode 8 manga actually better than the original VN version? I personally loved all the changes it made. Confession, the battle of the golden land, Battler and Erika's duel... After reading it Twilight went from being around average to becoming one of my favorite Episodes. The lack of OST is probably the only real downside, but even then there's Goldsmith's videos, which I've rewatched way more times than I've replayed Ep8.

Personally, i'd get rid of that scene where they show Shannon's corpse in the shed in EP1, they show her as dead in the anime and in the PS3 as a CG. The story hasnt properly introduced the notion that lies that enough people pretend are real manifest on-screen. To me, it always felt like the story just flat out lied, especially since "magical" scenes hadn't been introduced yet.

That's why Erika can say that she is the 18th HUMAN on the island (15 normal humans + Yasu + Kinzo's corpse +Erika's corpse) and then Battler proceeds to banish her from his territory by saying that even if she "joins them", there are still 17 PEOPLE (15 normal people + Shannon + Kanon). Erika is a corpse and doesn't count as a "person". And neither does Beatrice, who isn't acknowledged as a character by everyone. Kanon, on the other hand, is considered a real person by everyone, some are tricked by the ruse and some are bribed to act as if he's real.

The audiobook looked great, if it actually happens. Keep in mind Umineko is longer than the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy and that it would be at least 60 hours of audio unless they abridged parts of it.
