Renting gives you access for 7 days, buying gives you access forever, unless R18 removes a movie from their platform, which happens from time to time. Buying gives you access to both download and streaming options, but not all studios offer HD streaming despite providing HD downloads.

Screen recording the stream will likely be completely pointless. You can't screen record the R Player Plus with OBS, since it's a Windows Store application. OBS couldn't capture that two years ago, but it might have been updated. So your only likely option is the regular R Player, which has even worse performance, but it's better than the streams in the browser. You'll just have a really inconsistent frame rate.
