I run a surface fleet with damecon, do you still want it? 1CAV 1CA 1CVL 1CL 2DD. Yura was my CL so she could use SPF and OASW at the same time. My Suzuya and Hiyou were completely converted into SPF and reppu mule respectively. 1 DD was used for OASW, the other for AACI so the CA was the only 'muscle' in the group along with route support. The good thing about this is that I can score air parity with one LBAS base so the other can focus on air defence. If you're lucky, you can clear A and L at one go, the CAV + CVL mule should be enough to clear one of the air raid node on their own.

I'm not exactly farming, just chipping the boss and doing pretty badly at it (all A so far, mostly retreats due to nuclear subs. Only killed boss once.)
Main fleet is Musashi Yamato Ise Suzuya (CAV) Kumano (CAV) Akitsumaru (Reppuu mule), both Suzuya and Kumano are normally equipped with 1 SPF each. Most of my surface radars are in the escort, with 1 OASW Tashkent in the escort.
Using both route and boss support (hate retreating at that one surface node where Akitsumaru taihas), LBAS is Toukai to C and ZZ (1 wave each), 4 waves of Range Extender + 1 Interceptor + 2 LBAS bombers to the boss which usually doesn't do jack shit unless one of the Dysons get hit for 200+ somehow.

Got super lucky 1st run after swapping to Nelson, even though I forgot to choose the Nelson Touch formation. Green T and managed to get an S. There goes all my luck.
I recommend using Arashi or Hagikaze even if they are low leveled. My Hagikaze is at level 45 but she's in escort FS and cleaning out the Dysons from slot 1 with a 150 + 150 DA at night, not to mention she deals enough to take out a CVL with her ending torpedo in day.

If you are using 4 escort with ASW, 2 waves to C and ZZ each is probably overkill. My best balance was 1 wave to C and ZZ each, with 2 escort doing OASW although it's still risky since Subhime usually gets off at 小破 after OASW.
Maybe you can try 4 escort with ASW and 1 wave to C and ZZ each? I started with 4 escort 1 wave each, and it was pretty secure. But the loss of night battle power at the boss really hurts. See what's comfortable for you.

That tool has an option (基地航空隊による敵機損耗を考慮する) that allows you to factor in LBAS waves. You will need to open a separate tab to calculate the LBAS effectiveness. It works most of the time for me, however it will use the highest AS for that node so there is a chance you will over prepare.
