Is Infinitas worth setting up given my situation?

I have CB data running fine on my desktop, but for various reasons I play 95% of the time on my laptop in my apartment lobby and I can only get Copula running on it. That would be totally fine, but I don't have access to any servers so I have to play offline and so no way of saving scores.

It kind of sucks because it takes forever to grind the "bits" needed to unlock charts, and of course they insist you buy each difficulty. If you're unable to reliably aaa/fc stuff it will take even longer, as you won't be able to exploit all of the "missions" for bonus bits. If you're used to CB the interface is going to feel shitty too. I wanted to like it but they don't make it easy. But at least your scores will save, and it's relatively cheap to try it out, maybe for you it'll work out better.

Oh and unless its been added recently the lack of a global shop ranking is pretty stupid.

Things have changed a bit since the Programmed World days. The ways to bypass Konami's encryption are well known at this point and people aren't getting their data from a single source anymore.

Arena in IIDX is frankly my favorite reason to go to the arcade. IIDX has made some small technical improvements and overall rootage has a lot of QoL improvements but it's still IIDX it's not that different.

IIDX sucks with headphones, until CB the audio latency was unbearable, but also if you use a headset with good isolation then you can't hear your keytaps which are important for keeping tempo. If you use headsets with poor isolation then you have to have them super loud to tune out how loud r1 is and you're gonna fuck your eardrums.
