Wait, there are people who pick routes to do first? I thought the idea was to actually play it the first time through, and make decisions as you would if you were really doing these things. That's what I do, anyway, and I ended up doing the Ciel route first. Which I regret, because all the other routes felt a bit stale in comparison. This is, of course, my opinion, and I'm sure there are people who feel differently.

There are a lot of people who do. I typically do it your way first, and then do other routes and collect bad ends along the way. I forget who I got first but I remember liking one of Ciels endings, both Akiha's endings and Kohaku's ending.
