Where would the humans/psudeo-humans rank?
Alice and Marisa would be pretty smart since magicians need to be book smart in the first place.
Keine is interesting since she gains complete knowledge of Gensokyo's history in Hakutaku form, but that's more a product of her powers than her intelligence.
Reimu and Sakuya probably have above average intelligence from hanging around Marisa and Patchouli respectively, but nothing to write home about.
Don't know what to say about Mokou. Perfect Memento in Strict Sense says she knows a lot sorcery, but probably because her immortality gave her plenty of time to learn.

Alice and Marisa are hamstrung by their information sources. Marisa would have to be either a savant or a genius to become as strong as she is for a magician her age, but is also rather focused in her studies, to the point that I doubt she can perform mathematical calculation more complex than long division, and seems to have taken a hit in social skills. She'd obviously also not have lots of information most outsiders take for granted, so would come off as sort of inept in that kind of environment.

Reimu doesn't strike me as exceptionally intelligent as she sits on an ability that would allow her to solve a great many of her problems in life, but refuses to use it and let her position fall to a younger, less experienced newcomer, and is relatively easy to fool by the other protagonist characters.

Marisa definitely has a brute force approach while Alice seems more methodical with her dolls and all.
Resources aside, I feel like both of them have great learning capacity. So if you were to put them in a modern school, Marisa would excel at chemistry solely because she loves doing experiments and Alice at math or physics from careful study.

I love seeing all of your thought out opinions of intelligence for 2hus. I wonder how smart meiling is? I feel like Yuugi is smater than Sukia. I think the secret genius of the series is Yuuka. She's smart enough to return from the pc98 abyss. Gardening requires smarts to be efficient and not kill plants (t. career nursery worker some co workers dumb as a 6ball murder my precious babies). And she's old as dirt which grants wisdom. Would post more but ps3 is overheating currently.

It's kind of hard to gauge youkai intelligence since they can embody concepts or are naturally skilled. So if Yuuka became a master gardener by studying it throughout her long life, then a very bright human might be able to surpass her given the same lifespan.
