Hello. I'd like to share some lyrics to a song. It's by Hasami Group , my favorite band ever. Their lyrics can often be strange and matches their experimental music. The singer Aoki has a nice voice , and after coming down from a coke and alcohol induced hangover this song has made me cry it's so beautiful.
熱い雨が傘を溶かした
君の自転車は速度を増やす
初めて買ったギター持ち主
寒い部屋に閉じてもる
君の初めての音楽会
燃えた水滴がはじける
ほらみろそら聴け
初めての君が歌うんだ
If anyone wants to help me with a more accurate translation of the last few sentences I would be very happy. They're giving me a hard time.

I must admit there are some people that I know who are like that, but even then it's rare occasions.
I say this without egotism and with slight hyperbole; I feel as though I am the only one desiring honesty to be the standard rather than the exception. It's exceedingly frustrating to me because it feels like people cold help each other more if we were less false with one another.

If you're talking about the RTK method of learning kanji it's more about using radicals as mnemonics for individual kanjis like strength and field means man, writing and woman means wife, woman and child means love etc.
If you're starting out the focus should be on learning common kanji first and then you can use them to help you memorize the more complex kanjis.
Learning the readings of the individual radicals might help you with some on yomi readings if the compound kanjis they might not, they do nothing to help you with the kun yomi readings.
It's not a meticulously planned system where learning the parts will help you understand the whole, it's a clusterfuck and understanding the parts will only give you hints at best.

There's not always rhyme or reason but I mean come on
>喋る

>吠える

Pretty much. With Japanese, it's a pretty good idea to get a couple thousand most common words and basic grammar under your belt in same fashion (Genki or Tae Kim being popular ways). With a language closer to English, like Spanish, it probably could be done with 500 most common words.

Probably lots of people give up studying by that point and could immerse to a great level.

No because "comprehensible" doesn't mean "what you already know", it means "what you are capable of understanding given your current pool of knowledge and mastery."
For example, I had never seen 夢にまで見た before but the first time I saw it I understood what it meant because I had a mastery of all the necessary pieces.
I had never seen だけじゃなくて before but understood it immediately because I was ready to acquire it after gaining mastery of だけ and じゃない

This is a good post

Through reading you can learn to properly visualize when someone 跨がる's on something, or what a 城壁 looks like, and hear when a character 呟く's or 叫ぶ's a line.

You can also learn really specific vocab and have a place to reference it instead of banking on isolated memories to spring forth. Having a scene to play back in your head helps recall the words associated with it.

Just fucking read more and use your imagination and you'll learn the words the right way instead of drilling them in isolation where you cannot summon it up from memory.

Is this a slower going process? Yes, but it's faster than expecting to rip anki'd words out of your asshole. Remembering that scene where something happened is more powerful than SRSing the shit out of it for hours and hours.
