Finished Grasesta. I was severely disappointed when I found out there wasn't an evil route. It wouldn't have been any surprise at all considering they did it with Soukoku and it had every single flag pointing towards that direction. But there wasn't.

After Amayui I was hoping Eushully pulled their shit together but apparently not.

Don't get me wrong, it was still pretty enjoyable. It just feels like there was a bunch of wasted potential here.

You have to use her heal until it fails, then after combat you get a scene. Then use her in battle even more after doing all the scenes around town you can, and you'll get another scene where Jedar threatens her with the scrapyard if she doesn't make herself useful. You then have a scene where you can dump her at the brothel (you lose her from your party) and can sex her there, or choose not to which continues her events. I don't know after that, that's as far as I got.

I think the major requirement is just have her heal fail a bunch, which is not easy because it slaps a big fat 250 damage on you and if you're actually hoping for a heal or you've got it on auto this can kill you.

Finished Grasesta. I managed to get all Fleurety events on my first blind playthrough, but I also completely missed all scenes with Aguna, Mikuri and Eurisha (I used her in almost every fight, but still missed some flag).

I have kamidori's, amayui's, sankai's and rhapsody's. they're pretty great, the walkthroughs and info tables are (unsurprisingly) infinitely better than anything I've seen online. there's a bunch of extra art/concept drawings and stuff and they usually come with some kind of poster and append disc, so I think the price is justifiable, if a little high.

i got the bad fleurety end just by losing a fatal battle. the implications are kinda strange and i dont think it will go the way fleurety thinks, but whatever.

Rather than putting her on a pedestal she was what carried the story, the sheer amount of focus on her and MCs development, while nothing out of this world is far beyond any interactions in Kamidori even just from the beginning when Avaro was doubting her feeling thinking she might be imprinted to him because of seeing him first when Fia was released.

Then you have these amusing scenes in between like how Avaro got named 体長 and it turns out she aimed for everyone else to call him that except for her which even I didn't expect after all that trouble explaining why.
And finally towards the end it actually felt like a proper ikusa megami established universe when things got hot.

All in all what I want to say is she was more than just a mindless happy go lucky autist. She is the typical naive type but also calculating and resourceful especially when it came to Avaro.

I don' know anon, the girls in Kamidori especially the ones that seemed interesting never left a lasting impression because they were just there for the h-scenes and never truly got any focus even just a serviceable side route would've been fine.

Depends on what you want. Softhousechara is usually absolutely bad at explaining how their games work and with "getting into it". You will kinda always be mad at them. But usually they make you motivated enough to "not let the game win with stupidness", and then they kinda become strangely fun. Usually.

The game you posted for example is definitely not for everyone: The "how to play" manual doesn't tell you the most important thing, that everything is about multiple playthroughs. You keep everything. You'll do this like 50 times. It's fast. You even do entire playthroughs just klicking the same training button. (doesn't take very long, if you do it right, with holding ctrl to skip confirmations and whatnot) It's pretty fun though, if you realize this. Then, once you are past the tutorial (which some manage to fail...), you never lose anything. To be fair, the game never tells you your time-limit. But really, just beat the damn tutorial without dong tons of random shit, and you are good.
What follows? Flag hunt. Extreme old school. Many flags have required flags from completely other characters. All the while you ... well, grind. The game barely has different dungeons, but gets quickly too "hard". Btw, some events have variations for different areas of skill-levels. You can reset skill-levels, but you better don't care about 100%. The.. uh.. important scenes should be easier, but still. I took forever to get all the demon loli girl variations. Kinda part of the fun though.

Their trading sim (I think released right before Maken?) was pretty shallow when you think about it. You can buy stuff and sell anywhere else with profit. So you just carry what you can and make money, while you do "tasks" following side-events and main-events. It's a game that should be boring, but can quickly result into "one more, just one more". Kept me up way too late at night once.


Luckily the games are short. The newer ones at least. And if you don't read all the damn text. (trust me, you don't want the 3 different lines for each of the hundreds of different things you can ship around in the trading sim for example) And honestly, they are probably more shit than anything else. But they can be a very good guilty pleasure. Also there's usually a good enough main girl. Which is kinda surprising.

They're high end for Softhouse Chara. Softhouse Chara does character interactions and banter especially really well, but they generally kind of shit the bed on main plot and gameplay tuning. I think the Bunny Black series is probably among their better because it actually has a pretty simple engine without a lot of weird shit, and a core central plot where you can easily see and do everything in one playthrough which helps keep things more cohesive, not to mention better balanced. As bad as BB's balance is (way too hard at the start, waaaaay too easy by the end), most SHC games are either always too easy, or have simply massive RNG that will straight fuck you over. Bunny Black 3 takes everything in a shitty direction though. Way too easy. Massively overcomplicated additions in the city/dungeon management stuff for no real purpose.

Too many of their games take the approach mentioned above where you're meant to play through them a dozen times. It occasionally works in games like Suzukiri Dragon where the game does evolve on each loop and you can straight up bypass events from previous playthroughs (rather than Ctrl-Skip through them), but usually it's a pain, even with each loop only lasting 5-10 hours.

Suzukuri Dragon and Wizards Climber are their best two by a large margin, but Ouzoku and Bunny Black are a decent way to spend a week too. Their more recent games have been pretty disappointing.

Speaking of Softhouse Chara, the reviews are starting to come in on their latest game, and wow, it's apparently just as bad as it looked from the trial.

BB1 should probably be skipped though. While BB2 will be a huge ??? when you haven't played 1, as it doesn't tell you shit as a tutorial... not like BB1 really does, BB1 also has some really bad progression. At some point you literally have to hope for a random encounter SOMEWHERE be turned into an event. And you can't freely access dungeons in BB1. Only specific floors for the quests you currently have. With bad luck... yeah. Well. BB2 is better there. It's also kinda the same game anyway removing at least some dumb things.
