Are skeleton keys adventurer random items only? I've never seen one. And is the treasure of saint supposed to be so hard to find in the current build? I've killed Gwen upwards of 200 times, both child and adult.

Does difficulty for quests even matter except when it comes to stuff like Hunting? It seems completely arbitrary for the most part.

Don't know if this is a documented thing, but higher difficulty Party Time quests tend to give me more gold. Obviously anything involving killing something will be higher level+tier enemies, Harvest Time I have no idea. Delivery quests have farther distances and cooking quests have higher-tier meals that need to be cooked(?)

In + if they have the pickpocket skill they steal money from defeated enemies. They keep it though. In omake you can assign pets to derphy to steal random materials for you, but they're crafting materials. In both, they'll try to open locked doors.

Like the other anon said, the racial feats are permanent and some are pretty strong. Starting life, mana, and speed are also significant.

If you're in Plus then starting speed doesn't matter as much and a low starting speed is arguably preferable for the sake of AP gain. I haven't played the newer versions but I hear you can use AP to raise life directly now, so that may not be a big deal either.

Am I the only one who prefers Bear pet to Little Girl? Honestly I think they're both great starter pets with Bears beating Little Girl out in raw stats and Little Girl having access to equipment. The real disappointments are cat and dog.

-Slow start that emphasizes lower stats, the vanilla experience.
-Customization, a player town, the ability to give pets jobs and let them work.(automation)
-fewer caps, better boosts. You can craft potions of descent and get ridiculously high stats pretty quickly.


plus:
-faster start, emphasis on getting to act 2 and 3
-more content, more towns, more spells/actions/skill/necromancy/etc. Even a new town quest type.
-More caps, higher restrictions, an attempt at balance, etc.
-controversy on some things like the "balance" and thirst/piss mechanics.



Basically plus gives you more to do, while OO stays out of your way and lets you do whatever. I wouldn't say either replaces the other really.

Juere Predator is sensible. I always roll Jueres these days because their hunger and gathering feats are a big QOL improvement. Yerles is always a good choice if you're willing to give up those benefits for a bit more power. Predator is a good choice. It'll give you +10 speed which will help you get off the ground.

Fairies in Plus are irredeemable trash no matter what you do. Their advantages become outdated ~20 hours in and you're not gonna outgrow that 1s equip limit until you've played for hundreds of hours.

Outside of Plus they're defensible. I don't think their speed and resists are worth their terrible life rating and 1s limit, but at least you get something out of the deal.

Juere is good because if you just want to enjoy the moment-to-moment gameplay, their lessened hunger means there's less inconvenience to deal with. And if you do want to powerlevel, you'll recruit hungry demons to cram herbed food down your throat as fast as possible regardless of your race. Jueres' improved gathering ability is also both a quality of life improvement and a meaningful power boost.

Life is a percentage. If you have 100 life, you have 100% the max HP your stats/level would give, if you have 1000 you have 1000% the HP. Mostly, there are some edge cases like minimum HP.

Yeah, stopping to eat every 30 seconds is annoying. I haven't tried the most recent versions of plus, but herbed gum does sound like a good plan. And yeah the extra materials help. More materials means you get more items from your crafting skills and you can also get them to higher levels faster for earlier access to things like potions of potential and scrolls of superior material. It's not a gamechanger but none of the racial feats are.

You have a stat called life. Most races start with 100. Every rank of ascetic increases your life by 5. Your max HP is multiplied by your life score, so your first rank of ascetic will increase your hp by 5%. Life can also be raised by eating hero cheese. In plus you can increase life with AP up to a maximum of 300, so I wouldn't use the feat or any hero cheese until you reach that point.

Exiles are excellent in the early game but, outside of Plus, they don't scale up well at all. Even in Plus I don't think they stand out as better than other casters.

I don't use any custom AI features, but I don't believe it allows you to swap in better spells on their triple-casting. If it does then yeah they're top tier with custom AI. But even then they won't be as outstanding as Defender's passive contingency/guts effect. I suppose with custom AI you could have them cast nightmare before their triple cast, which would help a lot, though I'm not sure it would be better than something like crystal spear or magic storm or water bolt + lightning bolt.
