If you ask me, she is similar to Marisa, or rather I'd say a youkai version of Marisa.
As they both share the same hobby, she often clashes with Marisa so they're kind of in a cat-and-dog relationship.
She has many similarities to Marisa, namely living in the Forest of Magic, being a magician and a collectomaniac.

Personally, I hate Alice X Marisa. It's a terrible match of personalities for implied lovers. Alice and Marisa are both far too controlling to be right for one another which just results in them comedically squabling but never able to progress with their relationship.

People do and to be fair Reimu and Yukari get reasonably well even all things considered. Though it's more about Yukari respecting Reimu and finding her amusing and Reimu putting up with Yukari to get the job done, otherwise she finds her to be a bother.

Aya and Reimu are one of those odd pairings that when originally come up with made no sense at all, but thanks to SA got a little bit of credibility. Basically Reimu doesn't like Aya's reporting, especially the fact Aya deny most of the things she has done as merely boasts. Aya seems to find Reimu boring and only really used her in SA to get the scoop without breaking the agreement with the underground youkai.

The same could be said for Yukari using Reimu, but that isn't too surprising either, they just seem to clash less, that's basically it. All ships are generally a bit retarded and personally I've never really understood exactly where Flandre and Marisa came from. Any connections they have seem entirely fan based on something that was actually said by Reimu. Marisa's conversation with Flandre basically amounted to making references and being insane at one another.

There is a reason you fight Reimu twice in Aya's scenario, and if she ever runs out of material, she'll visit the Hakurei miko.

There are men in Gensokyo. Human and Youkai alike, and they aren't all weak or useless, either. Yet we never see them, and no one ever concerns themselves with them. It's because the girls want to go off and have their "tea parties", if you catch my drift.

They have as many powers as the nondescript women in Gensokyo have. The human characters noted in Touhou are the exceptional ones relevant to the latest story. It's been suggested a few times there are other human youkai hunters of a sort and people who challenge Meiling to martial arts contests (to which she is happy to oblige) but they aren't noted because they aren't relevant.

Not to say any of these hunters are a real threat to most of the named youkai, it's just pointed out that the humans from the village have long gotten used to life in Gensokyo to the point most can deal with the crappy low level ones that are all to common.

There is of course always Kourin.
