After watching the anime, I seriously wanted to try the VN. It's my first novel but I can't seem to be able to make it work. I got the .iso(of course), and the Voice patch. I followed the Readme file and changed things in the gameexe.ini, everything start fine but when I click on anything from the menu, the screen change like to go to the option, the background appear, music start but it freeze, music keeps playing. Anyone have any idea how to fix it? I seriously want to try a Visual Novel.

Clannad is divided into 2 parts, the latter being After Story. Regarding the 300 hour guide, it doesn't actually take you that long, but it all boils down to your reading speed. It took me 4 days to get 100% for Clannad and clear all the routes.

The best way to play VNs is to get a girl or two who know japanese to voice out the translations. Get some guys too if you need male voices, but its been my experience that girls can do these just fine as well.
