Reimu is all things considered a terrible person.
Part of it is because she's living in abject poverty and has to struggle to survive.
Another part is her largely unconscious reality-warping abilities causing her to not be able to relate with others on a fundamental level. Marisa is the noteworthy exception, but that's because she has accepted Reimu's intricacies and knows how to work around them when necessary.
