I decided to swap Ro with Maya for E5-P2 after 4 unsuccessful tries (and wasted damecons), and forgot to count Euros - only noticed that I have 5 after being offrouted to S. For my surprise, I reached the boss with all ships in good condition, and stars have alligned that way so I somehow killed the boss (thanks Prinz for the first TCI after those 4 tries). So if you are still struggling, I suggest you ditch your subtank and use additional CA instead.

Route support isn't mandatory. If anything, it is kind of overkill because only node M can be a threat while you can't do shit against the loli sub princess and the other node is that air node, assuming you have unlocked it.

Boss support is mandatory though, since you absolutely don't want any escort trash alive before shelling begins, so your entire fleet can focus on the meatshields, hopefully sinking 1 or 2, or damage them hard enough for night battle.

For that reason, you can't send a ASW LBAS base to node T as you really need all 3 bases for the boss.
