... Well, aren't preview pictures interesting ...

>> No.1990693

I'm not seeing it.

What's the problem?

>> No.1990699

the fine details on the kimono look a little different?

>> No.1990704

Lol angles.

>> No.1990705

>>1990699

A bit. The biggest thing I see that the kimono isn't glossy.

>> No.1990713

its lighting and angles

they can do a lot for figures
believe me, i have hundreds

>> No.1990715

When will you guys learn to stop buying mass produced figs?

It's either Wonfes limited editions or nothing!

>> No.1990716

I am lost.

>> No.1990718

>>1990713

Wouldn't it suck if, by some freak accident, all of your figures melted?

>> No.1990728

>>1990718
If you melt all your figures together, you can reshape them into Nero Chaos.

>> No.1990734

>>1990699

Yes, the one on the left is the preview from GoodSmile and the one on the right is the one that was manufactured, the details are much washed up.

I would not noticed this if I did not had to look for the figurine name and found the preview image a little different.

What is annoying is most online stores using the preview image that is not correspondent to what the production model will actually look like.

We can see all the differences in Hobby Search Page,

http://www.1999.co.jp/10075811

makes me wonder about detailed will Saber Lily actually be if GSC is pulling this stunts, they also "neglected" to show the Saber Lion base (its a saddle base).

>> No.1990752

I thought this was by Orchid Seed

>> No.1990840

Perhaps I should cancel my pre-order for Saber Lily until pictures of the production model come out.

>> No.1990955

>>1990713
as anon said, it's all angles and lighting. hobby search's pictures don't care about angles or lighting and the details don't look as fine.

>> No.1990965

>>1990840

Honestly ... I do not advise that in case you really want it because chances of it being sold out just with pre-orders are high.

>> No.1990969

>>1990840
canceling would be stupid you don't want to regret it later and have to pay out the ass for your own copy

>> No.1990974

>>1990955

You do realize I am pointing this out because because ... you know ... I OWN ONE ... and can safely say, it looks like the one on the right, not like the one of the left.

In short, it does NOT look like the picture preview by GoodSmile.

>> No.1990984

>>1990974
because good lighting and good photography can make even the worst figure look good. in their promo shoots they make them look amazing

Point taken brothers, I shall keep my pre-order. Thank you for your wonderful words of wisdom! Have a random picture!

>> No.1990993

>>1990955
this is true. hobby search sucks at taking photos.

>> No.1991028

>>1990984

I do not think so ... the Hobby Search image IS good, in fact it shows the details I have a problem in seeing without having to grab it and closely examine it.

The color on the GSC image is simply different, its a much better paint job that of the production model

>> No.1991050

What exactly is the problem? I just got mine and I can see the patterns just fine.

>> No.1991102

>>1991050
The face on the mass produced one is a little more bland, but it looks similar to any other GSC of the same price. They always show rosier cheeks and the like in their promo shots.

>> No.1991298

>>1991050

The point is how what you see is nothing but a pretty picture taken on a studio and then touched up by editing software.

Its not bad for advertisement purposes, but consider this ... if you buy then in a store this is a non-issue, you get a good look at her inside the box even in the case there is none on display.

But on a online shop they usually only put up this type of promotional pictures, Hobby Search have bot the GSC promotional pictures AND those and I pointed out how differently they are.

Keep in mind Hobby Search wants to SELL THEN, there is no "do not buy then" agenda from Hobby Search ... they are a online store and want people to buy their inventory.

Now ask yourself ... based on the pictures alone, would you buy the one on the left or the right?

And again ... would you buy Saber Lion knowing her base is a saddle?
