I have to assume you're a beginner because beginners say this a lot, that they can do 50+ new cards a day in anki. You'll burn out within a month, it's easy for pretty much everyone to learn 50 new words a day when they're starting out.
Even if you've been doing this for months though, learning words in anki is not actually learning the words, sit yourself down and think about how many of those words you can actually use in speech or writing.

How do people say threats in Japanese? Like if you were a thug or bully you might say in English "Pay up, or else!". What would be the similar way of expressing that in Japanese? By that, I mean that sense of "I'm implying that not doing what I say will be bad for you, so you better do what I say"

Would the ておく conjugation be applicable to verbs in that sense? Like if you said 払っておく and conjugated it to the imperative (はらっておけ I think）would it imply that same sense of like "pay up (for your benefit in the immediate future)", or am I not using ておく correctly? ありがとうございます

Funny real-life story, first time I was in Japan I went to Matsuya to eat, ordered carry-out without knowing it. I was sitting down, the guy who took my order brought the bag out, saw I was seated, and started asking if I wanted to eat in, said that he had prepared a carry-out but that it would not be a problem (that's my inference, at the time I couldn't understand him).

I didn't know what to say, so finally I mustered up some words and said ”家を食べます”, which I quickly realized was ridiculous. I corrected it to ”家で食べます”, and he stopped staring at me confusedly and handed me the bag, and I went on my way. In hindsight it was one of the funniest exchanges I've ever had, IMO. At the very least it was quite memorable since it was my first time at a Japanese restaurant (I had only just arrived the night before).

I have been to Japan too, and there's a few things you can always count on. The natives expect you to suck at Japanese, and they can generally figure out what you're trying to say even if you butcher it poorly. Kinda like if you're talking to a mexican who can barely speak english but you still know what they are getting at.

My point to the other anon was that you shouldn't be getting caught up so much on particles, it is a noob trap. The particles will largely work themselves out over time, as long as you have a basic understanding of the sentence structure.

I got that way too, first week I spoke more JP, after two weeks though I was basically cashing in my gaijin card left and right. Honestly in my experience, the ability of JP natives to speak English was not as broad as I expected from people who had been around. I think I must have heard more from people who only ever went to major tourist spots, cuz I will say the people at the metropolitan tower for example were fine with English, but people running food places or working in department stores pretty much required speaking JP (though we got through the confusions).

My goal is just to someday converse naturally in JP and to not be unintentionally rude. I don't think I'll ever become not rude though.

Anyone feel like the further they delve into Japanese, the less and less confident they become in using their own native language? I've started second-guessing myself a lot lately when using English and wondering whether I'm actually forming grammatically correct sentences or not.
