Although it's pretty short there's a hell of a lot to think about in it, there's a bunch of discussion of mystery writing which will probably have parallels with the actual mystery later, and lots of subtle hints that we've been combing the game for trying to work out what's going on. The first half is like SoL with fellow club members except the conversations are pretty clearly symbolism for what's going on, and the second half is Luna talking with MC about what she wants him to do, she's such a cool character.

Completely agree with you two, Risa's route was such a huge what-if scenario that I was pissed off she had that joke of an ending, meanwhile Suzu got a full route dedicated to her. Should've been reversed, imo. I would've loved a route where Yuuya embraces his inner demons and decides to become Risa's manager and hooks up with her yakuza aniki before eventually taking over. Just imagining all the possible coked-up sex those two could've had as they do shady shit to Risa's rivals to ensure her rise to stardom, but alas, what could have been.

Played till the OP and I like this quite a bit less than Newrin.

Newrin had an absurd scenario that alone made you think it's just going to be dumb comedy stuff. But it made surprisingly quite a bit of sense and was quite genuine about its plot. Sure, it has some flaws, but the main story worked quite well. As well as time-travel involving stories can work, I suppose.

Mirai Radio on the other hand feels quite like the opposite of Newrin. This time it's not something completely absurd where you just think it's a comedy. Unfortunately however it also makes little sense. I absolutely can't believe a setting like this could exist. Not in the way shown. Not in the time-frame the game gives. It's nonsense, while it doesn't want to be nonsense.
Add to that a weaker cast, weaker voice-acting and so on, and the whole package just feels disappointing. I think there are interesting ideas around, but I feel like the writer tackled a WAY too big field (communication, internet, signal transfer and in general also how this is all integrated in society, the market and so on) where he simply lacks the knowledge to execute everything well. Makes it very hard for me to enjoy this. I'll probably wait a month or so and read some reviews to see how the later parts are and decide if I will go back again. But I hope he takes something a little less big next time, where you can cover your lack of knowledge with research a bit better. Speaking of virgins. I've tried a little older game, assuming it was an unvoiced old chara game. Ended up being a 100% voiced old nukige. Okay. That surprised me. Especially the 100% voice acting, that didn't even have bad recording. Narration, guys, the girls, everything is voiced.

So yeah, you start by choosing one of the 5 girls. This will be your protag. Everything is going to be from her pov. Two choices which lead you to a total of three major branches for each one. All of them are short and feature one major ero scenario. The "plot" here is generally light and none of the girls are virgins. Some have no boyfriend, but enjoy their casual sex. Another sleeps with a guy for money. (and does gravure stuff) Scenes vary heavily, from yuri to gang rape you get everything. Not every girl has everything, mind you. Some don't get into any rapey situations at all. One gets mostly into those.

This game really felt like it gives zero fucks about things that are important and standard nowadays. And it felt so fucking refreshing. It's kinda why I like to try them out, once in a while.
I really liked the female pov during sex. Of course that can be done horribly as well, as Fault showed with its bonus scenes, but when done right, and this game does it right, it's hella good. Your arousal comes from the female voice (remember, narration is voiced as well) and how she feels good after all. So instead of unrealistic weird "narration" by heroines in our current eroge scene and weird descriptions by the protag you get things delivered better and in a more intimate way. She isn't talking about how aroused she gets, how she really wants the D or whatever, but she sure is thinking it as it comes. And it works. I already felt how superior this method can be in Alice Soft's Blade Briders where it's sometimes used. I'm happy I got to see it well enough executed again.

I just tend to not go that far back, because everything below 800*600 can get very small. Depends on the game, as some games have comparatively huge fonts (i.e. Maple Colors), but a lot don't and then it's not that nice to read. Also I don't like low quality voice recordings, unvoiced is fine though.

In terms of straight up melodrama WA2 definitely goes in harder. BUT, I feel it goes in too hard and after a while you start to get pissed off at the writing. There's some scenes I wouldn't trade for anything (like when MC drops a bomb at the restaurant), but I found myself distracted too much on how incredibly forced the drama tended to be.

Kiminozo's plot is a lot more flexible in terms of routes and endings. You can cheat, do mindbreaks, etc. The girls aren't passive moeblobs, they take action, get into fights, try to steal the MC, etc and so on. Don't get me wrong, the drama IS forced, just not as much as WA2.
