I'm trying to texthook Dies Irae ~Amentes amentes~ HD, but nothing's working. People are saying you just need to set the text speed to the max, but that still won't work. I'm able to hook registers using cheat engine, but I can't find a value that changes to the text currently on screen.

This is why I liked Hoshi Ori a lot more than Ginharu. The former had a wide range of breast sizes, from A cups to E cups, but the latter? Four E+ cups and one token flattie. Those huge tits made little sense on heroines like Mizuha, who was trying to be a pro ice skater.

I really hope tone work's goes back to the breast variety they had in Hoshi Ori for their upcoming 4th project.

I think tone work's bought into the "big boobs = more sales" crap. And considering how poorly done the single flat heroine was in Ginharu odds are their 4th project will be a repeat. I just loved how almost every heroine in Hoshi Ori had their own cup size.

Plus in the middle school section of Ginharu it looked liked Momiji was going to have average sized breasts as well before they suddenly ballooned into E cups after becoming a JK. Looking at my old pictures, all of the heroines except for Hinata looked fairly petite in their middle school outfits, but Momiji was definitely the biggest bait and switch in Ginharu imo. You know, the kind whose breasts grow 3 cup sizes after they take off their clothes.

Yeah, pretty sure that with the exception of the retelling of the prologue from Natsuha's perspective at the start of Natsuha's route, Natsuha isn't coming back until the end of her own route and she's going to look a couple of years older and her personality and the way she carries herself will have changed. Really dumb. They clearly advertised it as being mainly about having good times with Natsuha in rural Japan. Just had to put in a twist though. Had to try to be unique. Even though there doesn't exist a single long high-budget non-nukige eroge about being with a true loli. I expected Monobeno to be the exception to that.

I'm pretty sure most other lolicons would prefer longer less-sex-focused non-plotge lolige too. I wish producers would hurry up and realize it.

Until you get onto a heroine's route there really is no plot in Ginharu. It's quite similar in structure to tone work's previous titles except with the addition of the middle school section. The initial "plot" is focused around school life and attending xyz committee meetings with qt girls so you can have a fruitful school life.

Ginharu also has minor elements of a charage, mostly in the context of the heroine group, and later on, the route specific characters. The heroine group quickly becomes repetitive though as they all slide into their roles and very rarely if ever stray from them.

Personally I found the heroine routes the only actually interesting part of Ginharu. Mostly because each heroine has their own unique scenario after high school. For example, in Bethly's route, she and the MC actually leave Japan to attend college in her home country of Canada. Or Mizuha doing her ice skating thing. It was a real breath of fresh air

I don't think it was necessary to post a dozen sprites but alright. Maybe it's just me but despite allegedly being smaller, Marika looks basically identical in size to Natsuki/Touko.

Rikka's the only tweener to my eyes, in either game. Sora-Yuzuki and the other four in each game are otherwise fairly analogous. It's just the matter that Ginharu cut the sixth heroine which could've been their own tweener.

When I started, I knew immediately that I wanted to do Shino and Tamaki's routes and they ended up being my least favorite.
Nanami, Sayako and Mashiro's routes were a thrill ride.

Tamaki route was disappointing but damn Oukawa Mio can deliever lines like a boss. I'm enjoying her voice in Hyakki Yakou.

My biggest complaint is that there was no incest route. It should be against the law to create thicc kundere mom with no route.

But really, the Aubade? Children could have been fleshed out more. Would have like to see Ayato do more cool shit.

I just finished reading this actually, it's really good.

The biggest highlight of the game is easily the crisp, pleasant to read, fast-paced high-energy writing. It’s extremely carefully pruned down of any excess to focus solely on bringing out the appeal of the characters and making each and every scene as enjoyable as possible, be it a hilarious manzai comedy scene, a super hype energetic action scene, or a wonderfully cute loving ichaicha scene. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say there was literally not a boring moment, it was so fast and so fun that you can really just zoom through this game, it’s a constant ride.

The humour is varied and rich, from references to various pieces of popular culture to well-placed boke/tsukkomi to contrast between the extremes of each character’s personalities. The action is very reminiscent of the best of tokusatsu, overdramatic exciting scenes rich with special effects and hype hissatsu names. But the main focus on the game is of course on cuteness, on making Yuuri as likable as possible. It’s not afraid to use exaggerated established techniques to achieve this, with extreme gap moe between her kind friendly perfect outer face and her decadent lazy overly self-confident inner face, with floods of adoration from the surrounding cast who all worship her as their goddess. And with extremely carefully crafted gradual but clear character and relationship development as she slowly changes due to her proximity with MC and grows in love with him, abandoning her self-centred ways to give back to her loving partner and grow their blossoming love and happiness.

The production values are superb as well, some truly spectacular effects during the action scenes, a huge variety of sprites carefully positioned and animated to support and add to the story as much as possible. This is part of the reason it feels so fast-paced and enjoyable to read, the game really brings out the full potential of the ADV format to visually provide as much information and detail as possible, and this is done perfectly in sync with the writing which can then focus solely on the aforementioned key points. Some super impressive work here.

And yes it’s an episodic eroge, each chapter will be a different route focusing on a different heroine. There’s a lot of debate about the episodic format but if it can be done right this is how to do it — each chapter is cheap, has plenty of volume, tells a complete story on its own without the other chapters, and the release pace is fast, with the next one coming relatively soon. Very excited for it.

So Whirlpool made this game essentially copying the setting of Men in Black and moege-fying it.
