1962813 No.1962813 [Reply] [Original]

After getting into Touhou and watching Marimite, I have become a tea freak. I don't buy any of that Tazo tea bullshit with "orange blossom" blend or shit like that. I either get me some British Earl Grey or Breakfast tea or Oolong tea straight from Taiwan. Who else got into tea because of /jp/ shit?

>> No.1962818

I did Anonymous, I enjoy a cup every once in awhile.
Maybe soon I'll enjoy walking slowly as well.

>> No.1962820

I was already into tea but /jp/ shit got me into drinking it more often and paying more attention to what kind of tea I'm drinking.

>> No.1962829

Judging by my kettle size I've been having about 3.4 + litres of tea daily for four years now. Not because of /jp/ anything, but oh well.

>> No.1962832

I didn't get into tea because of /jp/. But tea is fucking delicious either way. A good Earl Grey or Prince of Wales really hits the spot.

>> No.1962834

Who the fuck buys tazo tea? I thought that shit was just for yuppies who want to drink tea to seem important but didn't want to deal with the bitterness of tea

>> No.1962838

>>1962834
Actually bagged / non-loose leaf tea is a lot more bitter for the most part.

>> No.1962841

I grow my own leaves. When drinking tea you gotta be elitist.

>> No.1962843

Well I'm a Britfag, and I drink copious amounts anyway. so /jp/ hasn't fueled my consumption at a.

>> No.1962846

I'm Chinese, so I was drinking tea long before I got into /jp/. I was the kid with a thermos of tea every day at school.

>> No.1962852

Well I got me some White Needle from Covent Garden a few weeks back. Also very fond of Earl Grey.

>> No.1962860

>>1962813
Also the best Oolong is from China and since Earl Grey has no British ingredients, saying British Earl Grey to try to distinguish it from everything else is pointless. It would just be as bad/good as others.

>>1962846
Whats up thermos tea friend. Though anyone Chinese I knew who brought tea in a thermos brought milk tea so sage that.

>> No.1962863

Fuck you guys. I buy tazo tea. Those weird fruity flavors are actually quite good. Just tastes like really hot snapple or something. I can't stand regular tea. Like the shit they serve at asian restaurants.

There sure are alot of gentlemen on /jp/ enjoying tea.

>> No.1962938

Do you guys use loose leaf or tea bags? I started out using tea bags but I hear that loose leaf brings out a better flavor and have switched. Kinda a pain because you have to buy a strainer.

>> No.1962966

>>1962938
I typically end up switching between the two. Using bags at uni and loose leaves when I come home. Though I'll be able to use whatever I wish when I move into my apartment next semester.

I got some Kirkland signature green tea from Costco thats actually made by Ito En. Comes in a huge box with 100 individually sealed tea bags. Shit is fucking good. <3 Costco.

>> No.1962986

If I am pressed for time I use teabags. I usually don't wake up early enough to steep loose leaf tea in a thermos for another day at the office. So I use teabags.

Teabags if I am tired. I prefer loose tea, but my laziness takes over.

Bagged tea freaking suuucckkkss.

Though I have these small nylon-bagged triangular teas, but even so those are just loose leaf in a slightly bigger bag rather than the garbage sweepings in other tea.

Oh shit I buy that stuff too. I also buy the .5L Ito En green tea bottles.

I have 200$ Japanese iron outside ceramic inside tea kettle, which I use with China White porcelain cups for drinking the tea I get and mix myself at specialty tea shops.

I drink this tea either with mai waifu or outside on warm summer days on my deck out looking the beach.

How does pedo imply one not being refined?

>> No.1963103

The only reason the majority of people here seem "refined" is because they're awake during the day. This means they might have a job and thus need to keep up with hygiene and whatnot. I believe that if this was posted later the majority of users would be like >>1963067 and myself.
