Not him, but I've been here since 2003 because there's no where else to go. Look everywhere else in 2005, it's just shitty forums with cults of personality. Look everywhere else in 2010, it's just shitty facebook and blogspots social normalcy. Look anywhere now and there aren't any sites, just tumblrs and twitters where people update with text messages from their cellphones and repost what everyone else posted. Also wakachan and iichan died, and futaba is dying, so I can't even go to any other interesting chans for a change.

I miss even when SA was interesting and I could look at dumb shit features. The only thing I can do now is browse memes on imgur, watch dumbshit videos of faggots talking about shit no one cares about, or look at crud "news" websites. It's not even that other communities are shit anymore, there's just nothing else to do online except maybe play online games with people.

Its big but desolate. Barely anybody goes outside the 20 biggest websites anymore because content aggregation killed any reason to leave your bubble, which in turn just forces content creators and consumers to go to said websites, and even if you go else where you just find the exact same things being posted.
The internet had lost its charm in being a place for many small/medium communities, now its just one big blob where being ironic about everything and a little self deprecating is the standard "normal" personality that everyone is forced to have

It also seems that much more tolerable than /a/ now. I only looked at it a few times, but reading /a/ feels like being surrounded by teenagers who all mindlessly imitate the same inane subculture of being cool kids that I don't care about. If that means I'm getting old then I hate it. I remember posting on /a/ everyday just ten years ago while thinking that it was one of the best communities ever.
