It seems increasingly unlikely dreams of a sex robot will be realised within our lifetimes.

>> No.1958364

robotics is a dead end path of engineering and technology, no improvements have been made worth noting over the past 10 years

that's because no one wants to invest in it. we went from the wright brothers to landing on the moon in less than a century. I'm sure we could easily have robots in our lifetime if we threw enough funding at it

>> No.1958464

There's plenty of funding for industrial robots. It's just that nobody give a shit about humanoid robots.

I like that one robot that makes horrible nightmarish noises but reminds you of a baby deer struggling to walk but managing adorably.

>> No.1958540

There's another video linked to the one I linked. It's perhaps a more practical design for helping out around the house and so on.

Still shitty though.

Don't give up hope!

>> No.1958875

You're looking for hope in the wrong place. We don't need to bring 2D into our 3D world. In the future, we'll be able to put ourselves in the 2D world. Everyone who's ronery knows that virtual reality is where our true hope lies.

What the fuck

>> No.1959255

Robots will never work I'm telling you.
Biological, organic machines have far more potential.
I'd rather have a 'robot' that is warm, breathes, and runs on food and water than one that is cold metal, whirs, and if I forget to plug it in it might stop mid-function.
In order to mark the synthetic organic machine lifeforms from normal humans we just give them iconic visible markings.
Like dog or cat ears. And tails.
Market them as man's new best friend.

>> No.1959312

>>1959255
The first robots were organic machines, read RUR. It didn't work out so well.

Robots should be changed from being autonomous to being an extension of our bodies. If it's just gonna serve us and suck us off anyway, why not completely control it with your mind while you sit.

Figure out a way to have it transmit senses back to you and you can fap while you fap.
