If you use scrolls without enchant skill, your scrolls will dissapear regardless of the outcome and if you fail, your equipment will lose max durability.

in order to use the enchant skill, you must equip magic powder. if you use enchant skill you will only lose one powder and your scroll and equip will be safe.

My only real problem with the game(besides the brick wall you hit in the late teens) is that crafting uses the same ability points as combat. I mean I can either play Touhou musics or actually be able to kill stuff.

Well all items can be upgraded with the right npc and proficiency, so besides style, I assume they can be upgraded in different ways. TH may also let you upgrade them a different amount of times, I haven't payed close attention to them.

It's probably primarily a style thing, and frankly I like it. No paying cash shop for nice clothes, no having to wear ugly armor for defense, and uberfags that just want the best of the best equipment are left confused and lost.
