The suit is called a "hadatai". I'm 6'3" and a large Ayame suit fits me fine even though I'm 3 inches taller than the sizing chart says is max, although I think 6'9" is pushing it.

I would play it safe and pay the extra money to get a custom sized one. I can't speak for the quality of other hadatai makers but I can highly recommend Ayame.

Get some foam sheets from walmart, measure out how long you want 'em, cut 'em out and round out the edges, glue a smaller piece of foam on the inside where you want the widest point to be. Wear a few layers of tights over it.

people say the suits (hadatai) are super comfy. They basically transform your body into a big, warm, soft cloth doll, especially if you get the kind made with thick fabric (which adds a layer of squish). If you get the hada properly tailored it's also form-fitting, to the point where it even feels like a second skin.

Then there's the mask, which completes the sense of encasement and complete transformation. Looking in the mirror, there's not even a trace of yourself or your expression - just a cute girl, who moves just as you do. Her curves, her breasts, her smile - they're all yours, and it's hard not to get into character when your normal self is so completely shut away.

Yeah, no, something like 90% of kig cosplayers are lewd motherfuckers. And height and proportions matter infinitely more than sheer weight. Obviously you can't be straight-up obese, but 50kg is underweight for most guys, and 80kg is pretty normal for taller guys.

As long as you're reasonably fit and willing to put in the effort to figure out proper shapewear and padding, there are very few body types that can't be made to work in kig.

Yes, there would be a delay, but with even with commodity hardware it could be reduced to no more than dozens of milliseconds. Without a moving mouth it wouldn't look very jarring. As for the volume, it could be externally controlled via a smartphone or a simple wired remote with a volume knob. It actually sounds like a fun engineering/signal processing challenge. Some brave anon should make it his thesis project.

Hey everyone, this is Remy from Remykigs. My shop is one of the ones in the resources doc. I don't mean to shill too much, but I just wanted to mention that I finally got my own workshop space, so I'm offering more options with my kigurumi masks now. The basic blanks I had before now have an option for custom cut eye and mouth openings at no extra charge. I've had some people ask about that, so I decided to just start offering that as an option.

Better yet though, I'm finally offering fully custom made-to-order masks. Whatever character, I'm willing to work with people to make a kig full custom now. My only drawback is that I don't paint the masks, even if you order a custom it'll still come unpainted but otherwise finished and detailed. The reason for this is because I don't have a dedicated painting guy and I myself am terrible at painting. Trust me, I'll just make it look worse if I try to do it. But my prices are bit lower than other makers to compensate for this.

I'm hoping to really get into this more, I'm even looking into selling at some conventions later this year, so I hope people are will to give my masks a try.

Up until now I've been making these generic template masks because they were easy to produce from a mold while I was busy with work. Things have slowed down now, and that's why I'm trying to start focusing more on custom kigs.

I can't post most of my prop work for legal reasons, but I work for a movie prop studio in SoCal, and I'm using the resources there to make these. Hey, here's something fun.
