I often find myself going down random japanese streets using streetview while pretending to be japanese.
Do any other anons do retarded shit like this?

I'm not claustrophobic but I'm tall enough to be really uncomfortable in plane seats. I also can feel every little bump and my brain tells me it's the plane falling out of the sky. Plus the idea of being stuck in the air with no way out gives me anxiety.

One can get a Working Holiday Visa, which allows one to stay for a year.
I saved up my NEETbux and sold some stuff, giving me around 650.000 yen which should be enough for at least half a year, if not more depending on how cheap of an apartment I can find.

I will probably live in Kyoto, since I found some really dirt-cheap rooms there on elitz (around 15.000 yen a month, think tatami galaxy like 4.5 tatami rooms).
Apartments in the Tokyo-area (Saitama for example) can be cheap too (32.000 a month), but have always quite high initial costs, meaning in the first month you will pay like 100.000 yen.
Also traveling in Tokyo is pretty expensive.
The route from Kyoto to Osaka is cheaper than many Tokyo-greater area commutes with the Keihan Line just costing 480 yen.
Since food is cheap, I guess I will pay around 30.000 a month for basic food.
So food and rent is around 540.000 for the whole year.
Since I want to travel around the country too (and buy Otaku goods) I will probably spend quite a bit more, which is why I may try to find some job when I don't have enough money anymore.
This is why I estimate the 650.000 will last me around half a year at least, and probably longer.

Why? Do you have any medical issues? The planes meant for long hauls are comfy, with more space, films you can watch on your personal screen, you don't feel like you are flying at all (unlike budget airlines in Europe).

I'm guessing you speak Japanese then? How would you get the visa without pre arranged employment? Anything around Kyoto you're going to do? Would be interested in following a NEET anon's blog if you'd like to write one as a hobby during your stay.

>I'm guessing you speak Japanese then?
Nope. This trip is for learning japanese too.

>Anything around Kyoto you're going to do?
Well, the usual. Hiking/Biking, Sightseeing.
For nightlife one would probably go to Osaka.
Osaka also has Den Den Town in Nipponbashi, a place with a lot of Otaku stores and such.
Trying to have conversations with people could be pretty a important thing for learning too.
An internship at a game company is something I thought about as well, since I'm into game-dev, and there is Platinum Games in Osaka and Nintendo in Kyoto.

>How would you get the visa without pre arranged employment?
Working Holiday Visa. Practically a one year vacation where you can also work to earn money if you want to.

It's too bad those are only available in certain countries, otherwise the best you can do is the 90 day/work visas.

>> No.19521367

>>19521242
You can prolong your 90 day visa for another 90 days if you're lucky.
You request it in Japan, and if you meet some criteria then you can stay longer (my guess is if you've still got enough money), but they promise nothing.
So half a year is possible even without any special visa or work.
My guess is that finding some apartment this way will be bit harder.

Or practically impossible, as is moving to other countries you haven't lived in.

10 If you want to get an apartment, you need a bank account to pay from.
20 If you want to open a bank account to pay from, you need an address that can be verified you're living at, usually using a utility bill.
30 In order to have an apartment that you rent so you can prove your address, you need a bank account to pay from.
40 goto 20

If you're in Europe you can sometimes get away from the catch 22 loop by just giving your address abroad in another EU country because the bank system is practically unified so real estate agents sometimes accept that. But that doesn't work if you're moving to France as there you're required to give your local bank details so they can automatically withdraw, so you must use the absolutely retarded and out of date French system and you have to open an account as a foreigner. Fuck France and fuck their shitty language and their autistic screeches if you don't speak it. Spain's a lot more liberal and you can usually transfer to an IBAN number and they don't care.
Anyway, moving to another country usually always sucks, rant over.
