Can someone tell me why Ayaneru doesn't like Matsuoka? I've seen a number of events, talks and radio episodes where she reacts negatively upon the mention of his name.

Matsuoka and Sakura were at the same vocal training program at the same time. They graduated from the same class. So they know each other before they went pro. Matsuoka being the awkward fellow he is, at one after party took 16 yr old Sakura aside and talked about life deeply (note he has done this to a lot of people, not just Sakura). Part because of he so unsure and unconfident especially at that time. Sakura also was an awkward girl back then, so this didn't leave a good impression on her.

Early in their careers, you can see them talk positively about each other. But as the years went on, they drifted. Not to the point of hate, but more indifferent to each other (Sakura way more than Matsuoka). Sakura had said in a different GanGan GA that she didn't even greet him at the I'M New Years party (at the time both are one of the most busiest people in the Agency). Their talk is always been awkward. Every time Matsuoka is mentioned, you can see Sakura react to his name negatively (either by word choices, talking about how they don't talk, or how she thinks he doesn't like her, etc). Matsuoka also reacts to Sakura's name as well... but more that he doesn't know how to approach her as he always has a troubled look when her name is mentioned.

I don't think they hate each other - but they don't seem to be on the most friendly terms either. They both have stated as much as well. They definitely can work with each other (Sakura and Matsuoka have been in many of the same animes). So they are at the very least business-friendly with each other. I think part of it is just 不仲営業 (making noise by acting bad towards each other for attention business model). Sakura has become more negative towards him over the years like making throw up noises when Onishi said Matsuoka complimented her with her new haircut but quickly shuts up when Onishi sticks up for Matsuoka - really stuff like this and other stuff she has done, does make me feel it is partly exaggerated for show as that's what people are expecting of Sakura and Matsuoka's relationship.

I think Matsuoka doesn't think about it much, but is awkward about it, since a lot of other cast Sakura is usually with, he also is with too and many of them have extremely positive opinions of Matsuoka (Uchida Maaya, Onishi Saori, Minase Inori, etc). She on a lot with Kayano as well (all three of them were together on Sakura's debut anime) and Sakura adores Kayano a lot, but you will never see Sakura mention negative things about him in front of her. I mean Kayano is aware of their relationship, GanGan GA made it a mini corner for a year when Kayano was one of the host as well... which was strange and awkward for all the hosts involved. It's stuff like this that really makes me feel they are partly exaggerating this for business.
