I love the anonymous nature of 4chan. Sometimes, though, I wish that moot would implement something like an auto-trip from the user's ip address and salt it with the thread number. I think it's fine, as long as we "condense our threads", as we have been told. I'm assuming from this ignorant statement that you don't browse /jp/ very often. I'm not the guy you're quoting, but I would venture to guess that /jp/ does have a larger percentage of older posters. The otaku aspect of /jp/ makes is one of the least accessable board for newer posters, which is why newer posters coming in and starting /trv/ or /n/ style threads stick out like a sore thumb. You can also tell by the overall greater post quality on /jp/ (although I'm not saying that it's great, it's certainly better than on the larger boards). I won't say that only old posters make good posts, or that all old posters are good posters, but it is more likely that shitposts and posts that read like they were typed by a 12 year old are from newer users.
