Explain Touhou to me? I hear about it but I dont understnad.

It's a series of rather mediocre (with the exception of 1 or 2) high-intensity shooting games that have garnered an undeserved amount of praise and awe in both the doujin gaming community in Japan and the much more pathetic weeaboo community in the US and abroad. Perhaps because all the characters are delicious cake and the people who play it are pedophiles. It has spawned fan comics, a virtual mountain of shitty cover/remix albums (again, a few are good), and any manner of other crap people with no life will buy for too much money. It's popularity has also started a number of memes on the likes of 2ch, 4chan and other image boards. The fans are rabid both in their hatred and reliance on the reclusive drunk who created the game, a guy named ZUN who looks like a skeleton.

TL;DR - Touhou is a game that people like a little too much.
