Don't know about the sadness but I do know I would enjoy the experience of playing it and that's good enough for me.

I didn't get any sadness vibes from the trailer, either. It just looks like an interesting urban exploration game, unless they kill the girl at the end or something, perhaps she sacrifices her life to bring the world back to normal, so the main character is now surrounded by people but more alone than ever.
